Final Fantasy 7 Remake.......
#46
I recently played through the game, and I was impressed with it. I haven't beaten Safer Sephiroth yet though.

Now, granted, this was a bare-bones playthrough with basically zero sidequesting, but I don't think it's an absolutely amazing game like lots of people say it is. I've heard it said that it's the greatest game of all time, and I don't believe that. It gets repetitive at times, the story is confusing in spots, and could've been a lot better overall. The gameplay is fine, but overall it was a pretty good game. Not amazing. If I had a PS4, I probably would get it, just to see how much they changed. But it is an overrated game.

UPDATE:

I just watched the new trailer, and I must say, I was blown away. The graphics look simply amazing, and I like how the gameplay looks. If they can fiddle with the story a bit, and make it a little deeper, this game has vast potential.

There's a lot of story in FF7 side quests.

It does get blown out of proportion a bit, but that's true of any given series with a following when they don't get the thing they fixate on. It just gets elevated in the mind. I liked Final Fantasy 7. It isn't my favorite Final Fantasy but it was good. It can be a little annoying to see it get so much special treatment, but I understand the reasoning behind it.

"FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience."

"It means instead of concluding in one entry, multiple entries are being considered in development. Each entry will have its own unique story. As a gaming experience, each entry will have the volume of content equal to a full-sized game."

Hmm, interresting. Let's hope its worth it, the exploration is probably gonna be cut but they should give more time to each part this way.
As long as there are no microtransaction..... Please god of game.....

So it's like...FF7 already was for the PS1? 3 discs to tell the entire story?  3 games I have to buy? Where's the issue here lol

Also I stand corrected the producers actually said the fighting system is a mix of Dissidia Arcade > FFXV > Kingdom Hearts > original FF7

so like it's based waaay harder off of Dissidia Arcade than it is KH. whoops!!

I kinda wish KH3 would have more detailed stats when you kill things tho like this game's gonna have >:

It looks like the first episode of the remake, even after the launch discount, won't be the cost of a full game... so the pricing scheme works for me...

I actually like the "episodic" approach as long as they're priced approximately relative to their playtime. I really don't mind paying five dollars for an hour of Reisdent Evil, and I wouldn't mind paying twenty dollars for five hours of an RPG. And it sounds like the episodes are going to have a lot more content than that.

It would be very cool, though, if they added more "episodes" or whatever, doing the other FFVII spin-off games in the same kind of style as the maingame.

If they were ever going to do that, now'd be the time This Remake was always going to happen because it's FF7 anniversary time. I'm personally not interested in any episodes that deviate from the main story until it's done. Yes that includes most if not all hte mini games. I'm not interested in playing FF7 REmake Episode 00: Dirge of Cerberus or or Episode Last Order: Crisis Core. Save those for after 7 is redone.

Oh, definitely finish the main story first.

I suppose they could do it in "Seasons". Season 01 being the main game, and then a season of "OVA" (okay we need some new terminology for this delivery method...) releases detailing the side games.

The only information that'd be pertinent is how often status effects last your often too busy trying to be aware of enemies to look at too much information.
