I believe him too. You have to give the guy a chance. To be more general than spriting, I know a lot of content posters who are otherwise bad posters...

thanks , and I've been spriting before i joined this site, and i had a lot of time when i made these sprites. it was summer vacation and had nothing else to do. witch is why they came on so fast.

I believe you dude. I was actually in a similar situation at one time. The difference is that I never ended up being too good at spriting. I'm also a good example of what aluseusGod said since I'm a shitty poster.

best thing you could do is simply keep posting and from time to time show yourself outside you own "box" and join a challenge.

Avatars are either made or altered, like your avatar you can tell it was a picture at first then you probably altered it.
Besideds what avatar he doesn't have one, maybe he doesn't know how to add an avatar yet just like he doesn't know asumingly how to post a image properly or presenting the right format, that has nothing to do with his skills in spriting.
When I started spriting it came rather naturally cause I had a skill in drawing on paper, then when I started spriting I didn't know anything about the differences in formats or how to post correctly till people told me about it in forums, but that didn't teach me how to sprite did it?
