Talking about Zelda, I know I've only been saying sequels and not exactly remakes, but another Minish Cap-ish game would be nice. By that I mainly mean the same graphics, strafing with the shield, sword techniques, and obviously the oh-so-awesome Kinstone fusions. Becoming Minish-sized again would be cool as well, but that was sort of story-specific so doing that in a second might not work so well.

And don't go telling me about Four Swords: that's pretty much an empty game if you don't have other people to play it with. And even if you do it's basically just dungeons.
You know I didn't play the first Zelda until waaaaay after OoT came out - and I thought it was awesome. Just grab a map with the first dungeon pointed out and you'll be fine.

If a Zelda game was going to be remade it'll probably be Link to the Past, though I'd love to see Link's Awakening redone as that's probably my favourite Zelda game (it was the first I completed, as a kid I got stuck in the Dark World on LttP). I wasn't a fan of the sprite style for Minish Cap and for me, it was one of the worse Zelda games. It was the "it's more Zelda!" game for me. So even though it probably is a good game - it was when the series started to grind for me and (when I think about it) probably the last one I completed.

I always thought a new Ice Climbers game would be cool, kinda like UmiHara KawaSe but where you can use the stylus on the rope and some levels having the 2 connected and you needing to move in a way to tense the rope etc.
Personally I kind of like MC's sprite style. It didn't really have a classic Zelda feel, I admit, but I think that since the story was so unique and separate from the others, it didn't matter too much. The biggest thing I miss from it is the Kinstone fusions though, that was so fun and it's a shame they didn't continue it in other games.

But I just realised that Minish Cap isn't really an "outdated" game so it doesn't count anyway.
I'd like a return to Adventure of Link's gameplay, mostly the sidescrolling and the experience points with a more Metroidvania take on it. It'd be nice to see how the different items would operate in that kind of view.
Someone brought up Gotcha Force, which reminded me of another of mine: Cyber Troopers Virtual On. Never played Oratorio Tangram, but Marz was a goddamned insult. Give me the speed and polish of the original any day.

zelda still has a niche though that a remake couldn't fill, and it has very little to offer outside of its style of play and retro gaming appeal, so a remake would be pretty pointless

actually the only barrier to entry I see with the original zelda is the lack of explanation on where to go
enjoying the game requires a bit of knowledge from outside sources, but other then that game play is still really solid if you play it like zelda 1 and not like lttp
Personally, I don't see a point of remakes. Sure the graphical and content enhancement from the Super Mario Advance series help improved the original games (especially SMB2/SMBUSA), but I don't see the point of remaking original classics as opposed to porting them. Sometimes it's best to grab the original game, fix some bugs, and include extra contents (along with ones that was in the data but never used in the game itself) before you port it.

But for the sake of said topic, I prefer that they remade Sonic 06 so that it was more complete and less awkward with photo-realism; make the humans cartoony like they were in "Sonic Unleashed: World Adventures".
Zelda 1 was remade on the Satellaview
Oh, BS Zelda, I forgot about that. It looks nice even. Ok, fair enough.

Ice Climbers like Goemar said, could be cool. Maybe something like Mach Rider too? Reviving old series like that. Nazo no Murasamejo could be interesting too, seeing the love Takamaru has been getting.
Wonderboy: Dragon's trap
Just remembered, Little Samson. Pretty much anything by Takeru I've wanted to remake or sequelize for quite some time.
The only zelda game that would be nice to see a remake of is a link to the past.

Even though there was going to be one for the 3ds I'm starting to have my doubts it will happen since everyone including myself loves the fuck out of Majora's mask.
Fire emblem 4 : genealogy of the holy war

it's an AMAZING game with an AMAZING storyline, where everything intertwines and is generally perfect

it should be redone, right away

Link to the Past is MUCH more deserving. I think it'd be awesome to completely remake Oracle of Ages and Seasons, they're one of my favorites from the LoZ series.

Not going to lie on that one, I agree.

I just hope that Nintendo does that instead of actually listening to the fans because a new ALttP would be nice.
