try using the other fist for more power room Tongue
there isn't supposed to be a lot of power in it. crappy's not a strong guy; he's quick.

here, does it look better without the blur frame?

Plus, you can't spend too much time working power into it if it's supposed to be part of a combo (I'm assuming this is Punch 1/2?)
Looking good!

How can I make this look more like a boxing glove? Does it even look like one?
looks kind of like an oven mitt right now.

to get a boxing glove look, you'll want to make it look a little more boxy. maybe something more like this?

this was just from memory so it's probably not too accurate, but it might at least give you an idea of what i mean.
So much better, thank you! Are the colors alright on it? When I try all red, it barely shows up, so I tried going a little bit lighter

Fixed glove with CBL's advice, and tried moving the back arm around to make it easier to see glove. I think it looks much better :]

I messed around with the colors a bit. Also, I made it a bit shinier since boxing gloves are really shiny

Animation EDIT:@Virt: I tried to show the shininess (?) with the white highlight. I feel that so many shades detracts from the simpler style. My glove orignally looked like that, but I think it's a little too cluttered.
Is that supposed to be some kind of hook? You really ought to increase the range on that bunches because in a fighting game hoowee will that be useless.
I believe that's his grab attack, that you can do before throwing. So... it doesn't need range, especially since Baegel's grab holds the opponent in front of him and not to the side.

exaggerate. ist a cartoon, you exaggerate the proportions of things in cartoons for both comical and readbility purposes.
I say make the boxing glove get bigger until it reaches impact, it'll emphasize on the "exaggeration" you are going for.

I'm loving this project, guys. : )
It's supposed to be punch 1, actually. After this attack, it would transition to Punch 2, which would be a pie to the face. I had originally considered it to be more of a side attack, but I figured it would be more sensible for the pie attack to be a side attack, and I want some variety in the combo.
That being said, I completely agree with Meta about exaggerating the glove, but I just mentioned it to avoid some confusion on what the attack was.
Before I work on the glove, should I change the whole position of the punch as well? Or should the entire animation be exaggerated, and not just the glove? I didn't put too much emphasis in it because I figured it would be part of a quick combo.
I'm not really sure if this helps, but I made a little edit.

The changes I made are pretty minor all told. I brought the draw-back back a smidge, to give the idea of more movement.
I changed the tail-end of the blur, no real reason for it, but i needed to add white.
I increased the size of the glove slightly, and added an armband and highlight to the knuckle area of the glove.
Don't favor variety for being able to actually hit something. If your range is that short, no one will ever have trouble hitting you first because you'd have to walk right up next to them, and just for your regular weak hit, no less. You gotta be functional!
