Dat awkward moment when you realize that you posted in the wrong thread. ._.

Anyway, took way too much time with this. Probably won't get around to a full set, but we'll see.
Better or worse?

still not as good than others' attempts. Too straight, absolutely no joints on the limbs whatsoever, lack of neck because of how low the head is placed on the body, etc

stop using line tool for a second, and please go study more anatomy.
Okay, thanks Gors.
I'll post further attempts in my spriting thread.Smile

Need advice on how to tackle the jacket pattern, and advice on what he should actually do :V (I would rather it be a simple assist move)

Lazy Idle attempt #1
(02-25-2012, 09:57 PM)Gors Wrote: [ -> ]it might animate ok, but that's too casual walk for a fighting game. Also pay attention to how the limbs bend, and inclination of the feet when it takes a step.

There's no problem if you go over the 4 frame limit, as long as it doesn't look out of place compared to the rest.

Yep, I see that. I was kind of going for a character who was sort of... bored at the whole thing, and wasn't really paying attention, hence the slightly more casual walk (actually based on Yuri Lowell's in-battle walk in Tales of Vesperia). However, it's your game, and if you want me to change it, then I'm all too happy to do so.

I realise that, but I also know how I can get a reasonably human walk animation without more than four frames, so I had no real need to go over the limit. If, in the new walk animation, that becomes necessary, then I will.

Thanks for the comments. I won't be able to fix this just yet, but I may be able to have a stab at it later today.

Hair moves a bit too fast I think but I'm getting closer.
Yeah I'm having trouble getting that style down path. Maybe I have too many lines or something? I'd some advice.

Beginning to get the hang of idle animations.

Bounce Attack

Cutest assist ever?
I don't have a ref, but Neko comes close, and he's one of my favorite own characters.
