It looks good
The majority of the Devil May Cry fanbase. I dunno how one could miss the initial backlash at least unless one doesn't frequent message boards or something.

I dunno.

Maybe by not caring enough about the franchise to bother with the DMC threads?

that being said I havent played very many dmc games extensively
The reasons for it being bad, according to the fanbase, are because of the fact it's;

1 - Being developed by Ninja Theory, who aren't exactly known for the highest quality games

2 - Game runs at half the fps of the standard Devil May Cry

3 - Dante's redesign overall. Lately however the hate for this has died down, but it's still around.

Basically DmC is supposed to be a reboot, for better or worse.
FPS? Have you ever played Devil May Cry? Also, I like his new design a lot.

Yes. Last I checked, Devil May Cry played at 60 fps. The new DmC was reported to play at 30 fps, though I guess it's subject to change. One of the few redeemable qualities in my opinion was the fact the game ran quite quickly and smoothly.
Gotta specify that when you're talking about games.
Well

I still like his new design, people gotta give it a chance.

There's also some newer statements saying that the Dante in DmC is not the Dante from the original Devil May Cry quadrilogy. I'm not sure of the legitimacy of it however.

so("You know what's really exciting about video games is you don't just interact with the game physically -- you're not just moving your hand on a joystick, but you're asked to interact with the game psychologically and emotionally as well. You're not just watching the characters on screen; you're becoming those characters")

nice post

Unnecessary post.
Stop spamming,
Maybe this topic should be renamed "Video Games that you dislike"

Anyways, I'll go ahead and add the Tales series to my "meh" pile. They're nothing special to me, just a slightly more limited ARPG. I don't understand why these games are priced so high when they're pretty generic. I don't get why they're popular either, especially considering Namco doesn't really care about the series much these days. The Tales games aren't that bad, but I have much better alternatives in my library. (Maybe I'm just crazy talking because I managed to make a $20 profit off my copy of Vesperia?).
Another gripe is that the Tales series has a surprisingly extensive catalog, with some being japan-only. I don't think a casual Tales fan would even know of Phantasia, which was the first one IIRC, or Legendia, it seems that as far as US Tales games goes, the only ones that count are Vesperia, Symphonia, and Abyss. Me personally, and I've mentioned this before, I only tend to invest in a series if I like more than 80% of the games in said series. If I only like Symphonia, but dislike the others, I'm not going to make room for it in my library. I enjoyed GTA San Andreas and Resident Evil 4, but I dislike every other entry in those series, so again, no room for it in my library. On the opposite coin, the only Sonic The Hedgehog game I've never been able to stomach was Sonic 06, and also the only Sonic game I don't own a copy of anymore, but since I pretty much like very other game, then I can make space for it.

Maybe if Namco had more interest in the series I'd also have more interest, but considering the situation now and how expensive the games are, it's just not worth it in my book.

Now don't take my post as me saying the Tales series is crap. It's far from that, at the very least, and I don't think Namco gives it the attention it deserves. Instead of localizing a Pac-Man Party port, they could have already released Tales of Graces F or even Xillia. :/
I seem to agree with the whole of the Tales series, except I really liked Symphonia. I tried a lot of the other Tales games and they just didn't have the same effect for me, and I don't know why.

Another game that I just remembered now was Baiten Kaitos. Could not get into that battle system.

It's the convoluted storyline, isn't it?

Despite the fact that I didn't understand what was happening (haven't played it), I don't see what's wrong with that.

BTW I have a modified version of that song and it's really cool.
