Sonic and... stuff...

Yes lets leave it, as sometimes people can't see past their own noses.

Really the need to work on the engine. Thats all, everything else, story, graphics, sound I can deal with but I really want it to play a lot better than it has.

I'm usually fine even if the graphics are a bit sub-par, but Shadow the Hedgehog was atrocious. The polygons were far too few in number and very obvious. I think they just took his SA2 model and made it shinier.

Actually it was Sonic Heroes models, then backgrounds and some objects were just from SA2.

Calling a person anything out of the blue that happens to have negative undertones is usually considered an insult. Perhaps a better choice of words, or not bringing it up at all, would have been a better option?

I'm hardly twisting your words. You're speaking in nothing but absolutes, as if your opinion was the only thing that mattered. What do you think THAT gives off?

1. I couldn't have said that. That post was the first thing I ever said on the matter. That was more of an exaggeration of what you said. Since you like being "reasonable", i'll give you specific quotes to back up that claim.
Quote:Let me guess: You're a Nintendo fan, right?
Quote:2. If you were any kind of Sonic fan, you would know that Sonc should never be sold to Nintendo.
2. Already said something on this.
3. That doesn't make you right.

Oh. Do you even own Brawl? When Sonic performs his homing attack, he rises into the air, then dives at the nearest person, much like in the Adventure games, except you can go up as well. The air-time can be reduced by tapping the B button, which is the ONLY similarity to one of the Spin Dashes. Spin Charge I believe. After that, Sonic collides with the opponent, then bounces up, like in the adventure games. If he misses, he falls, or hits the ground and bounces back up. There is no rolling.

I'm a hypocrite calling you a hypocrite, because I'm hypocritical enough to call out another hypocrite who decides to suggest I'm a hypocrite. You hypocrite.

Back on TOPIC: Sonic, is still clearly in a decline. ... If I said what needs to be improved, I'd just be repeating, basically everything Flare said. In any case, I think Sonic Unleashed might end up a huge step in the right directions. Though, that whole Wolf Sonic thing might just kill it...

I curious as to what they were smoking when the decided on making Sonic into a werewolf. Because firstly, I'd like some, and secondly, it makes no sense.

I think Sega needs to take s tep back and look at what Sonic games were successful, then work from there.

Facetious is a quality that doesn't necessarily carry a negative connotation. Somebody playing "devils advocate" can be called facetious, but it isn't always meant in a mean way.
Calling me a twit has a definite negative association.
Do you even know what facetious means?

You even admit that you exaggerated my words, so don't say you didn't twist them. In your last post, you created entirely different sentences out of what you "wanted to hear" in what I said.

... and you never spoke in absolutes suring the course of this arguement.[/sarcasm]

Some of that quoted material was from numerous posts ago (which you had a chance to reply to at the time). Stop inserting past statements into my present posts.

Yeah, I do own Brawl. When you miss, you are able to roll on the ground for a little while afterward.

You don't even know what you said in that confused statement about hypocrites. If you're so much of a hypocrite, then how can anything you say be trusted?

As I said to Flare, I am done replying to this discussion. Drop your over-inflated ego and foul demeanor, and shut up already...

It is a strange decision that could fare very well or horribly. I hope they tread cautiously.

Somehow, the were-sonic is supposed to be a result (probably a curse similar to Secret Rings) of the mega evil monster eggman manages to summon. I'm mainly wondering is Sonic's wits stay about him while transformed. He'll obviously show a more aggressive personality, but will he be a crazed lunatic?

Well it wouldn't be PT without it... eh wouldn't be The Spriters Resource Message Board without it.

Its just a debate, most Sonic topics turns out to be fights over the decline in quality, and voice actors but we are yet to touch on that.

wow... just when I said that... everything stopped...

anyways, my borther, the genius he is, decided to buy SONIC the Hedgehog (2006) and Sonic and the Secret Rings

for 2006, I find it to be very glitchy, but for some levels, it's oretty fun, like on the second half of the first level for Sonic, where you're just kind of running forward, dudgin stuff, it was pretty fun

for Secret Rings, the problem I found with it so far, was getting used to the controls and some of the physics, like jumping and doing an air dash/homing attack, it's very hard to get used to, 'specially since you're pretty much running all the time (which is what a Sonic game should be), other than those minor flaws, it was pretty fun

It's a simple as this; better level design and engine tweaks.

People underestimate how important level design is. It's what brings all the elements of the game together.

You do realize "Sega of America" produced SA2 as well, right?(Proof)

Back on topic, I've always wondered how American McGee would re-envision this series... (JK!) Personally, I think Sonic Team should only use certain characters for different games, only as need by the plot and not everyone at the same time. Also, Robotnik should be the main villian, however his actions should have more of an ambiguous nature and purpose than the straight-up evil-bastard. After all, the hero in any work of fiction is only as good as his antagonists. Well, good day.

Okay, so I made a mistake. Still, 1 success and 2 failures isn't a good track record (especially when some could argue that SA2 is among the more poorly-made games).

Anyway, Secret Rings is a great game. My only problem with it, aside from the horrible excuse for a story, is that the tilting is too sensitive when you're going really fast (which is only possible through power-ups, of course).

Defiantly. Anyways Sega should just become a second party to Nintendo, I mean look Sonic's games suck ass. I think a problem is Sega's game testers, they are fat lazy people who were high school dropouts. But still the only thing good is the handhelds of Sonic. Another thing the plot it's basically Eggman gets some demon or some shit like that and trys to rule the world with it, wow. Plus Sonic 06 sucks I mean timeline wise the game NEVER FREAKING HAPPENED.
