#SmashBrosUltimate - Smash Bros for Switch.
At least Partner Pikachu and Partner Eevee aren't clip-art, though they do leave a 2-slot-sized hole between my complete list of 1297 spirits and the 3 spirits I got from the Mario event. I'm still waiting for them to become available to everyone.

I'm happy there's confirmation, though very low key, of Mii Costume DLC coming in the future. I've been making Miis like crazy; I've created over 50 now! I need help. I hope that the DLC extends to voices too. Imagine having NES noises as a voice for example.

Thank goodness for modding. We can get Waluigi if we so choose.

So um, Piranha Plant's Guidance session talks about all the different types it has. Including Megasimliax. The boss that's only appeared in Super Mario RPG...
Geno is looking more and more likley by the second!

Piranha Plant makes a number of references to the Super Mario RPG games. He moves around like an enemy from Partners in Time (complete with the green nubblies coming out an open-bottomed pot), he takes on the coloration of the Putrid Piranha from Paper Mario for certain attacks... It doesn't surprise me one bit that there's mention of some SMRPG references in there somewhere. I don't think it's indicative of the likelihood of any other character, only that Sakurai really wanted to let people know that there's a whole lot of stuff which the Piranha Plants have done in these games, for all of those people who've only played SMB and insist that PP is just "an obstacle with teeth."

That gives me more hope for Geno's inclusion in the fighter's pass to be totally honest. It seems like Sakurai has been vouching for the RPG mario games as a whole and not just Geno as a character.

There's already a Geno and Mallow Spirit in Ultimate, so another Super Mario RPG reference doesn't change anything as far as I'm concerned.

I have no doubt we'll see the Geno Mii costume back, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for a playable Geno. I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow ends up in the Pass anyway though, as his demand has been on the level of Ridley and K. Rool.

Speaking of Geno, because I've wanted a proper Bowser's Castle stage since Melee, and the Paper Mario stage doesn't count (should've been the one from PM64), if Geno's part of the Fighters Pass, I want his stage to be Bowser's Castle with Exor sticking out from the top serving as an obstacle/platform. It'd be even better if Exor summons Smithy's Weapons (Mack, Yaridovich, Bowyer, Axem Rangers) onto the stage, either as hazards or as background characters.

I know most think of the Forest Maze as a stage for Geno, but I can't imagine it being iconic other than being that one place where you find Geno and fight Bowyer. I think Bowser's Castle with Exor best represents Super Mario RPG as it serves as the beginning and entry to the finale of the game, along with being ever present on the map. It's also shown on the titlescreen. Of course Beware the Forest Mushrooms should be part of the songlist. I would also love for Bowser's Castle from Paper Mario 64 and Boss Battle from Final Fantasy 4 to be part of the song list (the latter should be added to Midgar too).

Cuphead was just recently announced for the Switch.
This means the whole XBOX support for switch rumor is most likely true.
I wonder what this means for Banjo and the rest of the requested XBOX ips. Could Cuphead even make a cameo as like a spirit or something?

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if more spirits came along with each fighter that's released. I wouldn't be surprised if Cuphead at least made a cameo of sorts through Spirits.
