Will Overwatch ever get new male heroes?
#46
I think the only time anyone commented on weird fan service happening in games I openly play in my house is my dad when I was playing Hyrule Warriors and Cia's cut-in animation focused on her chest for a weird amount of time. And even then he was laughing more than anything.

And even if he had anything to say, I swear 90% of the time I come home and my parents are both home before me and watching TV, they're watching something like game of thrones or Vikings or something and EVERY time someone in the show is getting drilled. Why should I feel embarrassed when I have to keep walking into that happening?

Maybe my parents are trying to tell me something, and I don't want to find out what if that's the case. Ouch!

This may be straying a tad off of the main topic, but speculation and rumors are putting a release for Doom Fist on the in game event "Unity Day" which is some time between February 20-22. So there's your next male hero in about a week Wink.

Ded ), but one thing I've noticed about the game is that it has an immense cast of playable characters of all genders, species, and cultures for an FPS, which is perfectly fine in my book.

However, despite the large roster, one thing that stuck out to me is that the majority of new heroes that've been released are female. Question

I dunno about you, but this feels kinda...unfair to me, even though I've never played the game. I mean if you think about it, ever since 2015, OW has gotten a grand total of 4 new female heroes (Zarya, Mei, Ana, and Sombra, who I personally believe should've been named "Umbra".) and only two new males (McCree and Lucio, and I'm sorry if I spelt the first one wrong.).

So, to anyone who actually plays/played Overwatch, do you think Blizzard will ever release any new male heroes, or will they just keep adding more "diverse" women to please the SJW's?

P.S: please don't hate me for posting this.
i don't think the majority of female characters is for the SJW, kinda the opposite; they added them for fancervice.
It's no secret that the majority of player is male, and seeing a cute girl in the cover (like Tracer) attracts a lot.

"Old spice can't block the payload for sixteen hours."

"WHAT!?"

Seriously though, is there some sort of evidence implying Terry Crews might voice Doomfist, or are we just being silly in here?

Did you forget that? I was repeating what you said, but you turned it around like I did it first.

Well appearently Kosheh thinks you're a "basement dweller" if you enjoy games like DOA Beach Volleyball. Isn't that silly?

DoA Volleyball is hardly 'tasteful' sexuality though now is it? I mean look, no one is picking that game up for the Volleyball and hell, if you play that kind of thing in front of your mum and she doesn't raise an eyebrow and ask "What the hell are you playing?" and imply you're a pervert with either a look or something said under her breath WELL - I just don't know.

I'm not saying games can't be pervy. But man, I don't know - like trying to defend that game as anything but perverted fun, that's a pretty hard sell.

I mean, like I have said in the past - Ivy in Soulcalibur is pretty, well, on the fan-service side of things, but you still have a solid fighting game beneath that. Should Ivy have super skimpy clothes and giant melon tits? I don't know. Probably not/ask someone else. But the game is still a good game.

It's a good game with maybe a bit of a disapproving "hmmmm" amount of sexuality, while DoA Beach Volley Ball is "Look! Tits! Massive tits! Yes she's meant to be 14 but who cares! Tits!.... oh and a game... somewhere [psst... the game makes the tits jigle]"

Now I'm not saying there is no room for such a game, but yes - it is a door locked curtains closed kind of game.

You guys are such hypocrites. One minute you are saying fanservice and sexuality is okay and the next you are saying it's not. Which is it?

But Lollipop Chainsaw is okay? She wouldn't do that with Lollipop Chainsaw and all it skimpy upskirt scenes?

Anyway. The rest of what you said I'll use other posts to counter argue.

im not kosheh but my answer here is yes simply because there's zero shame in nudity or violence or etc. my phone wallpaper has been risque before, there's zero point in feeling embarrassed for appreciating art, whether it's something like a phone wallpaper or a video game

So make up your minds. Are games like DOA Beach Volleyball shameful and embarassing? Is Ivy's outfit distasteful? Or is isn't it? You can't pick and choose certain games and say "Well this game is okay but this one isn't!"

You should play what you want without needing to feel embarassed at shit, because ideally you paid for it and you do whatever you want to do. This is my opinion, of course you'll get different opinions if you ask someone else. You go make up your mind, aren't you the oldest member anyway?

It's not rocket science, you play it because you like it, there's nothing else to be said. Hence "lol @ getting embarassed at games"

if you feel embarassed then fine, it's your opinion, there is no objectively wrong or right answer :^)

tl;dr- person A said something but person B said otherwise, therefore everyone is a hypocrite
