New level: Tanks N Jets. Inspired by SMB3's World 8 levels, using the airship theme to make exactly what the title says.

I uploaded a new Metroidvania level called Cursed Clock Tower Castlev. Dos, and this course is a remake of the Cursed Clock Tower stage in Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow. The moving mechanic ideas are basically made similarly to the Cursed Clock Tower, and try this course if you like Metroidvania levels.

Level Name: Cursed Clock Tower Castlev. DoS
IVery Sad 8DCE-0000-0042-4B48
-A Metroidvania level using similar mechanics from the Cursed Clock Tower in Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (Spinning fire blocks used in similar to the the spinning needles, flying Bob-omb's like flying medusa heads, and rotating platforms like a clockwise gear from Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow. Note: If there is a big Thwomp in a room, look for a POW block to destroy them).

I played that one. It's an interesting level. I haven't played Dawn of Sorrow (I have Aria of Sorrow), but it has that Clock Tower feel to it, especially with the not-Medusa Head Winged Bob-Ombs.

I've got 32 clears now on Normal and hit my cap for that difficulty. It's not over 33, so my theory of there being 33 unlocks per difficulty has yet to be busted. Now I have to play Expert *shudders*. Well, Expert isn't that bad. After all, I cleared that 5 times so far. I have 19 costumes to unlock.

I want Shy Guys. You can stand on their heads like in SMB2, so they can carry you over hazards. Or you could just pick them up and throw them. Shaking them should turn them into Snifits. It's not the first time they can be big (SMAdvance) and adding wings could let them act as Beezos.

They can use the NES SMB2 sprites for SMB3 and the modern Shy Guy model for NSMBU. SMB and SMW would need custom ones though.

EDIT:
I added another course I just made: Clouds and Pirahna Plants. (ID in OP)
If you like moving platform challenges, this is the course for you. You ride a set of Cloud Blocks and avoid Pirahna Plants (hence the title).

The game is spectacular as it is, but including even more is something I'd always be down for. Some stuff I'd love to see include:

-The ability to add other power-ups to enemies. Particularly Fire Flowers to Hammer Bros to make them Fire Bros, maybe even Sumo Bros for the Sledge Bros.

-Boom Boom, who can be shaken to become Pom Pom. Requires lots of custom stuff, unfortunately.

-The Angry Sun, who can be shaken to become Phanto for more or less just a cosmetic change with slightly different flight paths.

-The Koopalings, who I picture using MOSTLY just their Magic Wands. You'd be able to shake them to alternate Larry and Iggy, Lemmy and Wendy, Roy and Morton, but Ludwig I've got nothing, maybe something unexpected. I was also thinking that giving them the ability to abandon the wand in favor of fire breath would be interesting by utilizing a Fire Flower.

-Mouser, for all your bomb-throwing needs.

-Most of the Super Mario World dinosaurs. Most had fairly interesting mechanics, but were seen in very few levels.

-Dry Bowser? Please please please please pleeease.

How about a single object for the Koopalings and that shaking cycles through all seven, but you can choose which one you want by tapping it, like with the Mystery Mushroom.
Also, shake Birdo for red and green Birdo.
Mushroom + Dino Torch = Rhino Dino
Shake Rex to make him flat by default.
Update the Big Boo to use the Big Boo sprite rather than an stretched regular Boo.
Lil' Sparky, though perhaps redundant due to Spike Top. Maybe give Spike Top a Fire Flower to make it a Lil' Sparky, then add a Super Mushroom for Hot Head. Difference can be that you can't spin jump on them and Yoshi spits fire after eating and spitting out one.
Mushroom Blocks. You can basically do Mushroom Block stuff with POW-Blocks, but a non-POW variant would be nice. Shake for Blue Blocks (the ones you can pick up in SMB3 and SMW, but disappear after a while. Cannot be stood on or stacked after grabbing, because it acts as a Shell).

Just uploaded a new level (And I've been sort of adding levels as this thread has been growing, feel free to check em out!)

On the subject of DLC, there's a lot of things I want to see from them, in fact I would love to see level packs that have enemies, terrains, backgrounds, themes and etc. as the game develops.

Sticking to themes though here's what I'd love to see: a Super Mario All Stars theme, a Super Mario Bros 2/Doki Doki Panic theme, and probably even a totally new theme that we haven't seen before or a skin that references a spin off game (And personally, I think themes like SMW2:YI and Paper Mario would be totally cool to see. It'd be unlikely but with how many possibilities this game has I think they would be awesome ideas) Not only that but I think it's kind of limiting that not all power-ups are included in all themes like say, Yoshi, the Cape Feather, the Racoon Leaf, etc. I say this because I feel like it's kind of a missed opportunity to see things like those in games we haven't really seen them in.

(on another note, am I the only one who doesn't like the Bowser sprite in the Super Mario World theme compared to the original sprite?)

Mostly everyone in this thread has already stated what I'd like to see as DLC, but I don't think anyone has mentioned extra Mystery Mushroom costumes yet. It'd be pretty cool to see characters who didn't make it the first time around in SMB style, like Daisy or Nabbit. Perhaps we could see costume Mario outfits for the other three game styles as well (which would be a pretty tall order, especially given NSMBU's 3D models, but I think it'd be worth the effort).

In fact, I can see this game benefiting greatly from the same kind of periodic update thing Splatoon has going; it'd be an excellent way to make an already great game even better.

This level was OK. Kind of a breeze until the end, which the giant Koopa Troopa isn't working like I think it's supposed to...
Like, you have to go back and forth several times and get rid of multiple parts of the stage before you can cleanly kick the shell onto the spring near the end.

also nice costume shroom.

This level is a remake of Bramble Scramble, a very challenging level, in Donkey Kong Country 2 with many spikes, flying clouds, and enemies. -A level that is very similar to the one of the hardest levels in Donkey Kong Country 2 with spikes (A cloud is used for the flying mechanic similar to the flying bird in Donkey Kong Country 2).

i LOVED bramble scramble in DKC2! Did it in one try - only thing that was missing was the great music from DKC2. ):

I was gonna say "there's too many fire flowers!" and then I realized that the Fire Flowers are literally replacements for the partner system in DKC2 (as in, Fire Mario is your "lifebar", as Dixie was your "visible lifebar" in DKC2) which things were then genius. B) nice.

Reader, do you like Piranha Plants? Because you'll love this stage =)

This is an absolutely silly level and I love it. I started with a weird mushroom and I don't know if that was intentional but that made this level even more hilarious.
I still don't understand the last leg of the level though.

Half of your courses wouldn't work for some reason, so I just gave this one a shot.

It wasn't too bad. It was like eating a spicy burger. I did it in one try, but it felt like a nice little adventure. :V

Why is the clear rate so low for these levels lmao

I made a new, simple course called Wario's Woods. It has bombs and puzzle elements, so close enough. Features the Toad costume for obvious reasons. (ID in OP)

Speaking of themes, what came to mind last night was maybe themes based on other games, like the original Legend of Zelda. Dry Bones would be replaced with Stalfos, Blooper with Octorok, Boo with Poe etc. Just the same as Super Mario Bros. in gameplay, but with sprites and tiles from the Legend of Zelda.
