Got the inklings from the source online for me and my sister you can still go to the store and get them if you need them, also i wish i new someone in japan who could buy me a squid amiibo and i'd pay them back on paypal. (Squid has to be retail price though)

Just wait a few months (I'd say definitely before Yoshi's Wooly World, or Starfox Zero) and they'll start reprinting the 3-pack to meet consumer demand (yes, even in Canada)

If you have a friend who you think would enjoy the Inkling amiibo, just give them away once you acquire the 3-pack ;P

EDIT: Oh also there's always Australia. If you've got friends in Australia they might be able to hook you up, too I just realized that lol

Thanks for the long info tis a shame though the squid is sold solo only in japan though here's hoping he's sold international solo as well as solo in Canada as well. You also really think the three pack's gonna come back? I thought packs like that are limited forever

Gamestop here in the States restocked them awhile back, along with Ness and King Dedede IIRC, but I'm pretty sure that's just late stock showing up.

Given how popular Splatoon has become and the game just recently receiving updates, why wouldn't they restock it?

I mean, c'mon there was a huge Canadian restock of amiibo not too long ago, so I'd give the Splatoon bundle a little longer.
The thing is, yeah the 3-pack was discontinued in Japan, but if the Squid's sold exclusively in the bundle, I think they've got no choice *but* to rerelease the bundle here.

It just takes kind of a long time. :/

There is really little reason to dislike them being there despite not liking the way they look, because you can unlock costumes WITHOUT Amiibo.

Not to mention not every costume is Amiibo related.

Actually gotta agree here: a lot of them look halfassed. They're as tacky as like the Megaman 8-bit sprites that fans make that don't deviate all that much from the base ):

Little Mac uppercuts when he jumps as well. I just wish you could also get a fire flower with an Amiibo costume, that would be awesome.

Yeah, I'm genuinely curious why this wasn't a thing. Is it really that difficult to implement something like that? :/

I don't dislike those details. They just don't do much for me when the sprite has thirteen colors and scrunches a 19x21 size sprite into a 16x16 grid.

The fact that they're little more then an ugly super mushroom sours the deal for me too. Let Peach float Mario 2 style! Let Bowser shoot fireballs (And actually be Bowser sized!) Let the Inklings crawl around as squids! Let Yoshi have his tongue!

The whole thing just feels tacked on in the worst way.
