I like the design, but the mask seems a bit flat: this is due to the straight (and parallel) lines you've got there. The highlight on the chestplate is straight, but the plate is curved - try and follow its curve to give it more volume.

I'll keep it in mind, Chris. Thanks.

[Image: nG9Uey5.png] So I was getting kinda sick of working with a strict palette, I find it fun for practice but i'd rather have more freedom since this kinda more than practice at this point. So now I kinda worked with the palette a bit to keep an NES or GBC feel but still allow me to work with the palette in a way i'd prefer. Also added an outline around the figure. I think it looks nice.

That's pretty nice! I've always found it hard pulling off a serious look in the NES's palette but you seem to be able to do it quite well. The palette on the right has some very interesting ambient lighting as well.

My only qualm is the big gray object sitting on Big Boss' shoulder. It's flat, angular and undetailed, which kind of detracts the viewer's attention. Whatever that is, make it a little more recognizable or take it out entirely!

Ah. That's the butt of a rifle? Maybe something more like this with some messier lines and detailing so it blends with everything else better:

Actually it was meant to be a shoulder strap say for holding fire arms, but guess I failed on that part heh.

Meanwhile started up another sprite.

Oh wow, that animation is pretty great! I love how smooth it is and the dynamic feel as the shading shifts. My only complaint would be how the legs slide as they turn. If you try that yourself, it's not really possible. You'd have to keep one foot standing still to turn the other one.

The enemy designs are also interesting. You've always had a knack for interesting palettes.
