New Super Mario Bros. Wii

John, I think you should also include the Spiny egg that Lakitu throws with this file as well.

It was not included in the Spiny's BRRES...do you know which file it is?

After Spiny gets fixed, I think I'll let these pile up a bit. It's much more satisfying (and efficient) to upload a bunch of models from the same game at once than getting them one by one as they show up. Tongue

@John2k4: The word they use for Spiny Eggs is "paipo", so look for that.

Sounds good. Smile

Updated the image & files to include the egg.

Hey guys, can anyone tell me why this guy's textures are bugged up? The model's fine in BRRES Viewer so I'm sure it's not a real big issue but I was just curious.

I also noticed when viewing that model in BRRES Viewer is that you can see through his mouth. In fact, a lot of the NSMBW Models are like that. Take a look at Blooper or Boo. Is that normal?

Yeah it's just the transparency stuff going on. With Boo I can only see a line going through the middle of him, but Blooper's fine? Which reminds me, I'm gonna include those guys in my next batch.

EDIT: Oh right, you meant Noesis. Well, like I already said, that's because their alpha channels are built into their default textures because Nintendo is weird. It's cool though, just click Cycle Blend twice or so and they'll look normal.

I'm not worrying about what they look like in Noesis. As long as they look good in BRRES Viewer. Don't forget to add the Mini Blooper as well.

Did the little Bloopers always have no eyes in the game?

TBH I'm not 100% sure actually, every image I've seen of them has them with eyes. It looked that way in both BRRES Viewer and Noesis so IDK.

Oh yeah, one of the things I've noticed about the models in this game is that a few of them rely on an interesting texture tiling method where the texture is basically doubled and mirrored without affecting the UV. It happens with Urchin and Big Urchin, too. Thankfully, it's nothing that can't be handled by modeling programs and such. It can also be fixed by making a copy of the texture with twice the dimensions, filling the extra space with mirrored copies. Apparently, Super Mario Galaxy models do this too, but the program that exports it automatically modifies the affected textures to adjust for it.

The seams on Boo can be fixed by simply setting the tiling on the textures to "seamless"... or at least, that's what it's called in C4D. It might be a problem in brresviewer and Noesis, but it will be fine in other 3D programs.

OK, I've finally completed the Luigi pack.

Wooooow awesome! You got his head on the bodies? Great! Though I would name the icon just "Luigi". Tongue
