I would put animations of one direction always in the same row. I'm also sure that you miss one sprite from the side, because one frame is a duplicate.

How'd you get that font?
It's cleaned up.
I believe he just used Arial (it takes up less room too). I'm pretty sure you can change the font style in MS Paint.

I used Verdana 7, it's the same font you use for the icons.

If you're talking about the map, that extra bit on the right, there's nothing else beyond that. Also the soft blocks are randomly generated.
