I think he's talking about the outer ring. It should be like lava instead of one color.

Yes, I also meant that those little squares on the outside aren't enough. I'm not sure how else to be more clear.

I'm not sure about that. Because if I did that, it may look too overdone. also, I'm going for a SSBB kind of look, So I don't want to give it too many sparks

i find the old one to be a little bit better. the new one look's a tad messy to me. but this is just one opinion.

Yeh, but I'm having trouble on the sparky animation for idle and the fireball attack.
The base sprite is good, but I suck at animation.
