TSR PokeDex Project
I have redone the science and magic Pokémon, one based on KP Shadow's doodle, the other a revised Zerkana.
Tektanium (Tech+Titanium)
Type: Psychic/Steel
Android Pokémon

Studying this Pokémon, it shows signs of technology far more advanced than ours. However, this Pokémon dates back over 2000 years.

Zerkodia (Beserk+Zodiac)
Type: Psychic/Dark
Titan Pokémon

It's body is composed of dark matter. Science can't explain its birth, but many believe it was created by magic millenia ago.

Also:
Darilla (Darwin+Gorilla)
Type: Fight
Primate Pokémon

Studying its behaviour, it is believed that there is a link between humans and Pokémon. It's known to copy the behaviour of humans.

Ogrilla (Ogre+Gorilla)
Type: Fight/Dark
Primate Pokémon

It gathers Darilla and raids small towns to steal their supplies. It can break a safe door with one mighty punch.

Darilla and Ogrilla are based on gorillas (derp) and vikings.

Tektanium looks rockin'. Zerkodia definitely feels more magicky than before. The gorilla vikings are a great idea.

Maybe a nature spirits trio (not necessary legendary). Grass/Ghost for the forest and Ice/Psychc for the mountains. Ice beats Grass and Ghost beats Psychc, so they're balanced. And Fire/Dark for the volcano,so it defeats both of them and sort of maintains the equilibrium between them.

I do think a viking Pokemon would be interesting but wouldn't something more Norse based be appropriate? Also a Water type might make sense.

Why haven't I even posted in this topic yet, whaaat

I saw the siamese cat idea last page and that looked pretty cool - a normal-type makes sense and would go along with the other "basic cat" Pokemon (except Purrloin and Liepard), but personally I like the idea of a Psychic type or something part ghost, using the idea that the siamese cats were soul conduits for kings and the like and could "intercede for the soul of the dead person".

Just my two cents.

That's not exactly balanced. Having one member of the trio be able to beat both of the others is about as unbalanced as it gets. You want each member to be strong against one other and weak against one other.
Grass/Dark, Ice/Ghost, Fire/Psychc then??

Maybe we should just focus on the two main legendaries for now.

Not to sound rude, (because i dont want to be) but I've said that when we were discussing the legendary trio, then as soon as we went with what I said, people just started to ignore what I said, and started discussing other things and got hectic again.

Hopefully this time it will stay longer than last time.
I believe in Jesus Christ, if you do also, post this as your sig.
Matthew 10: 32-33

"32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."

It would have been nice if I got more feedback on my concept art of the legendaries, or better yet, posts of improved redesigns. Only Mighty Jetters had the decency to reply on my art. So far I know I did better than last time and that's it.
Instead the whole discussion involving legendaries keeps derailing over and over again, leaving earlier concepts forgotten and deserted.
I'm not saying to halt the concepts for 'common' Pokemon, by all means continue, but when it comes to legendaries, like Koopaul said, just focus on the main two.

Man, I meant to get back to work on my Pokemon but I got tied up in other stuff I wanted to do and now with TUGS starting I know I won't get to it for a while again...

Sorry I didn't comment on them. The thing is they still have the same problem that the one's you made before had. They don't look beastly. Mascot legendaries never have an anthro-human like stance. That's usually given to the Mewtwo/ Deoxys type legendary.

That's the idea. Aside from the birds, Mewtwo and Mew were the only legends in gen 1. By the way, in the first two generations there were no real "beasty" Pokémon to speak of; it's been a tradition since Gen 3.

Tektanium draws inspiration from Mewtwo since they have a similar background, being (partially) artificially created by scientific means.

By the way, what stops us from taking a left turn. Not all mascot legends have to be beastly. As long as they have the air of might around them, they can be as legendary and mascotty as Groudon, Dialga or Zekrom.

That's my view on the case.

I kinda agree there. All of the mascot legends have been big monsters and stuff. Why can't we make these a little different? Zerkodia definitely fits the bill for feeling legendary-ish. Tektanium also has that out of the ordinary vibe and could still work. I can actually envision Tektanium in a new Pokemon movie where it goes on a rampage or something, then Zerkodia comes and they have a big actiony battle and stuff. It could be like the new Mewtwo of this Gen. but be a mascot legendary. I understand about the tradition but we have no better ideas and I think this is our best bet. I think it really wouldn't hurt to have it our own way.

I like the progress going on, the starters are cute. You seemed to be getting way too bogged down in minor details though. I mean, you are creating a whole new pokedex, it doesn't have to be totally like the first ones. Like instead of some gigantic beasties as legendaries how about a small ones? Kinda like Shaymin but something that actually looks cool? :/

NICKtendo DS, I don't really think that your Zerkodia looks very magical or dark/psychic. It looks kinda like a huge plant or something. I like the names though, very clever. No criticism for the Tektanium, I think that one looks great.
