TSR PokeDex Project
I'm also interested in the suggestion that didn't have pictures to accompany them. There were a few good ideas. I want to know what you guys feel are the best of the bunch.

I think the on the torso makes it look like it's choking a bit, and its arms wouldn't be able to move much. but having just the bottom part would look like a diaper, which would be kind of silly. The exposed midriff seems very odd to me too. I think it's body should one big ball of fluff like Mareep, or it shouldn't have that wool at all (do rams even have wool? I thought that was sheep?)

I think this guy has a valid point. In a real game, I would never want to pick that ram :p

The three legendary Janken Pokémon:

Rogobl (Rock+Gobble(sound of a turkey))
Type: Fight
Resource Pokémon
This Pokémon represents the material provided to form creation. Think of paint and ink for drawing and clay and rock for sculpting. It can ball its wings into fists and shatter ROCK with a single punch.
Its signature attack: (Fight) ROCK punch
A peculiar punch that hits like a ROCK. Lowers DEFENSE.

Ostrisor (Ostrich+Scissor)
Type: Steel
Tool Pokémon
This Pokémon represents the utilities that help record inspiration. Think of a pen to write, or a hammer to chisel. The two feathers per wing are sharp, steel blades that easily cuts through sheet steel like a pair of SCISSORS.
Its signature attack: (Dark) SCISSOR grip
It snaps two blades shut like a pair of SCISSORS. Lowers ATTACK.

Papigami (Paper+Origami(Crane))
Type: Ghost (because of the following relations: white, reshapable, can be used to write a spell or curse on, etc.)
Canvas Pokémon
This Pokémon represents the field in which can be created. Think of paper, a studio, cloth, etc. Its body is hollow, the skin as thin as PAPER. It is able to summon strips of PAPER of undefined length and any width, which can be manipulated.
Its signature attack: (Psychic) PAPER wrap
Summons a ribbon of PAPER to envelop the target. Lowers SPEED.

Rogoble is able to learn a variety of FIGHT, ROCK and GROUND moves, Ostrisor can learn STEEL, BUG and GRASS moves as well as DARK and Papigami learns ELECTRC, ICE, GHOST and PSYCHIC attacks.

I have no special Abilities in mind for them, so if nothing comes up, their ability is Pressure.

Well I kinda wanted the roshambo Pokemon to be Rock, Fighting, and Flying. The only other triangle besides Fire, Water and Grass.

I understand the scizzors thing, but the whole Steel-Bird thing seems practically copyrighted by Skarmory. I'm digging the paper crane idea. Maybe that could be the flying one in Koop's triangle?

There are other triangles, though. Poison, Grass and Ground, and Fire, Steel and Rock. Maybe you could do something with them?
Thanked by:
Well Rock has to be Rock type. Rock beats scissors which can't be Steel because Steel beats Rock. That's why I had Scissors be the Flying type, Rock beats Flying.

Thanked by:
What if "Rock" was ground type? Beats Steel (scissors) and could be weak to grass (paper, because it's made form trees?)

But Steel doesn't beat Grass. It beats Ice though, which fits because Ice > Ground > Steel > Ice. But I don't think Ice fits for the "Paper" part of this equation.

Why not just go with Fighting > Dark > Psychic? Fighting is Rock (Large, bulky, attack-based), Dark is Scissors (sinister-looking, fast pokemon with moves that involve cutting like Night Slash), and Psychic is Paper (Dunno how to really explain this one)

The paper one is based on origami right? I could see a more crystal looking ice bird working with that idea, although I personally like the rock, fighting, and flying concept.

Also, I want to get involved in this project so if someone could catch me up to speed, are you guys still allowing for designs and concepts to be shown or is there certain guidelines you are going by?

I'd be glad to have you aboard.

Well first off, we aren't making any new forms to previous Pokemon. Everything is new here.

We've already decided what our starters are. It was quite struggle but it was worth it.

Anyone is free to suggest Pokemon, post sketches, and put their input. We are currently getting things out of the way that are a standard for all Pokemon games, like the starters, fossils, legendary trio. When it seems like an idea is popular enough I include it in the first post. Things sort of become decided when everyone agrees, like the fossils, everyone thought that a Spinosaur was a good idea so it's official.

When it come to really polarizing stuff I ask if there can be a poll.

Right now I'm also waiting for a new Pidgey idea that makes everyone go "Wow!" We've had a few but everyone doesn't seem to be satisfied with them.

Also (and this is for everyone) If I put something under "IDEAS" in the first post it means it needs a final design.

To clarify my Type choices for the Janken trio:
Rock - Fight
Since the symbol for rock is a balled fist it should be clear. I considered Rock, but I couldn't get a triangle that made sense.
Scissors - Steel
Weak against Fight attacks. Since scissors have metal blades (or plastic), it should be a given. However, to make sure the triangle is closed, I decided to give it Dark attacks, since cutting can be considered vicious. Crunch could also be an attack that would fit a scissor.
Paper - Ghost
This was the hardest choice of all. I tried Grass, Ice, but it never seemed right and wouldn't close the triangle properly. I also thought of Flying, but that wouldn't help much for Scissors. Ghosts are often shown to be white (in cartoons etc.), like fresh paper. Also, spells and curses are written on paper.
To close the triangle, it learns Psychic attacks.

I tried hard to make sure that the triangle is one-way only (though TMs can form an exception). These Types make sense per hand, and there is a solid triangle. Keep in mind that the legendary dogs don't have a closed triangle. Raikou is the only one without a weakness of the three. Same goes for the legendary golems: Regirock is in a major disadvantage.

I tried to edit the Ram starter to make him more creative looking, as you can see he looks like a caveboy or something XD that evolves into a warrior viking guy ( I'm thinking of a Fire/Rock type ).
I based the 2nd evolutions design from a old Pokemon idea I had, a Psychic/Rock type goat named Goaterra.
I like the second evo, but not so much the third. The only thing, though, is that the wool on the second looks like a backpack. Maybe try doing something about that, and changing the head a bit more from the first? And I thought it was gonna evolve to quadripedal like Cyndaquil?
