Made the face simpler my getting rid of some of the cluttered AA around the hair and eyes. I also made the eyes themselves one pixel taller, adding to the expressiveness and catlike appearance of them.

Those don't really look like his eyes. The pupils are supposed to be all black. Not with white in it.

What happened to Toon Link? He needs a completely different pose.

Alright, update. I redid the hair to make it look more like Toon Link. I moved the feet around to give him a better stance for fighting. I know the shield blocks his whole body, but since he's a left, the shield had to be in his right hand. I put it in front of his body because I wanted it to have that "blocks projectiles when standing still" thing. It wouldn't make sense for him to be holding the sheild on his right side and block a projectile coming from his left (which is the way he's facing).

The sword, sheild, and arm are placeholders, just to show what his idle stance would look like. Since, in Brawl, when he faces right, he is facing away from the screen, we have to make a completely new pose for him so that he can face the right way while holding his sword and shield the correct way in the correct spots.

Finally starting to look like Toon Link... No offense to anyone.

OK I reconstructed the hair and face based off of Arthur's. Everything except the eyes. No offense, but Arthur's just seem very boring. Toon Link's expression is giving off a "I really don't want to be here" vibe. Toon Link is very expressive, especially in the eyes. In Brawl he's always making angry faces, but it has that sort of childlike cuteness with the anger so that its hard to take him seriously. But then you do take him seriously, event though he's a child. I gave examples of the expression I see when I look at mine, compared to what I see in Arthur's.
