unless they removed dante per your statement
p. much the weird newbies in MVC3 exist to do the jobs of older characters but just a little more...balanced, and then some

(spencer totally doesn't do this he's just a gr8 new man)

not quite, there's a lot of unique mechanics in the new characters of mvc3 that I like a lot (dormammu is an example of this and probably-not-coincidentally he's my favorite character)

but dante does have that one assist that is like a worse (but still good) version of captain commando's assist, except this time it's attached to an amazing point character, not a shitty one
