Great rip! Big Grin

Oh, so it's Japan-only alright, huh?
Speaking of the game's V.A.s, if there'll ever be another MS game with voice acting... I'm not a guy who minds about V.A.ing usually, but...
...Two words about Fio's voice, Dazz... two words only.

Lacey Chabert.

That's who I'd expect to hear as our favorite redhead(I mean, come on. Who doesn't like Fio?). ...But I think I'm getting slightly off-topic here...
I managed to play Metal Slug 3D before it came out in Japan, and I even asked them why they aren't releasing it over in western areas, but their reason was because apparently Metal Slug doesn't have a large market over here, and the cost of actually translating the little text that is in the game wouldn't generate a profit here, whereas converting the old games to PS2 disc wasn't exactly hard.

The voices were pretty shoddy, I'll be honest there, but to be totally truthful, so was the game. The controls sucked and I often didn't know what the hell I was supposed to do until I accidently found a small hole in the wall or something of the like.

The graphics were sweet though...

Off topic, sure, but Metal Slug related.
I have the game and I also agree with Dazz.
Sweet rip anyways!
I just played MS3D untill the Boss of Mission 5 (The Allen's Missile)

Dude, that is more Hard than completing Sonic 3 & Knuckles without Cheating XD
But there is a good point:
The game HAVE a history, unlike all other games...
BUMP, YO! New spritesheet, dead ahead! More MS7-related stuff, for the record.

Laser Unit(Metal Slug 7)
This one was small(Compared to the others, I mean), but small doesn't always mean easy. Mainly the coloring was kinda troubling.
Anyway, remember in Mission 3, where there's an area with a big elevator? A particular type of enemy, a sphere-shaped droid, would at times come from the downside.
This sheet features all of its frames and SFX, all in one day's assembly. Some of the frames are slightly edited, I'll say that right now.

Just something simple until I finish another sheet, which is partially related to this one, believe it or not. As always, check the first post for the sheet.
Fine work my friend!
Neat!
Man, my favourite MS7's new "litlle enemys" is that Laser litlle thing...
Awesome music of the level....I like the new guy who screams "MISSION START, DAMMIT!!!!"
Now that's interesting. Some people are fine with the post-MS3D/MS6 announcer, other people'd like the old announcer back. And yeah, MS7's music score is awesome. The Combat School mission theme is pure greatness.
Anyways, new sheet ahead!

Mission 3: Underground Fortress - Environmental Objects(Metal Slug 7)
Another BG objects sheet from MS7. Since the actual mission BGs can't be ripped yet, as far as I know at least, I have to go with the closest thing available.
Aside from the giant rolling shell in Area 3 which is missing for obvious reasons, it's a full sheet of Mission 3's BG objects. Also may feature some unused stuff.

As always, check the first post for the sheet.
Superb work ! Big Grin
BUMP-ZA-MASU!!! New spritesheets ahead, everyone! ...Well, one new and one updated, but we'll get to that later. Right now...

Mission 1 - Heavy African - Environmental Objects(Metal Slug 5)
I seem to have a thing for naming the missions in Metal Slug games with the name of the BGM that plays in those missions, do I?
Buuut yeah, it's a full BG objects sheet of Mission 1 from MS5(God, I missed ripping from that game), from the canoe to the trap-ceiling. It says in the sheet already, but please ignore the blank space(And my tentatives of filling it) if you can.

And that was today's new sheet. Now for the updated one, which is the MS series Weapon SFX sheet!!! That's right, I've finally updated it! With what?

1. For one, it has been updated with the new weapons from MS6/MS7, the Zantetsu Sword and the Thunder Shot. The latter was easy(Simply a pulse big Laser Gun SFX recolor), but the former...
...Yeah, I was surprised when I finally found it. Its whereabouts in the tiles: "chr.PLxxx_ETC.bin".

2. Speaking of the Laser Gun, one of its SFX frames(Big pulse) has been fixed. And just for completion of the Bomb pick-ups, the Stone bomb is now included(I didn't include the actual SFX because they re-use a debris SFX).

As always, check the first post for the sheets.
Awesome!
Awesome work ! Big Grin
WOW! Now I have more than i need to create my MS FanGame!!!
I do like the new Announcer of Ms3D because he screams more missions, the old announcer only screams "Mission one" until "Mission 5"...And the first forgotten one goes untill "Mission 6"...
And awesome new sheets, I love Zagetsu Sword and Thunder Shot, I imagine they used against the MSX's Allen...Would be a catastrophe XD...
All Hail Gussprint o/ You are my Idol \o/
NEW SPRITESHEET AHOY! ...And one updated, again. Here's the breakdown.

Slug Truck(Metal Slug 7)
And yes, I do believe this is its official name. At least, according to the game's instruction manual...
Here's an arguably original Slug vehicle. I mean, up to this day we didn't see a pseudo-minecart-shaped SV like this, did we? With attachable(Spelling?!?) turret carts scattered around, to boot. All animation, SFX and palettes as always.
And before anyone asks, the bomb SFX(First 4 frames) and the turret's muzzle flash have to be rotated. Just to clear things up.

As for the updated sheet, turns out that in the "MS7 Mission 2 BG Objects" sheet I missed a palette entry for the normal minecart in the first run. I've updated the sheet with said missing palette entry.
...Actually I've added that thing in the sheet and fixed the minecart's colors long ago, but I forgot to upload the updated sheet.

As always, check the first post for the sheets.
