Knowing Sega's track record for learning from their mistakes, they'll take the success of the show to mean the game was a success and pump out Sonic Boom 2: Now Even More Like '06.

If sega does that then they must be going insane.

All I hope for is for their next game on consoles to be pretty good or else I fear the company that the company may stop making games completely, at least for consoles.

I always secretly wondered what Sonic games would be like if Nintendo had rights to make his games.
They'd be good.
no they wouldn't

do you like this????

Do you want this to be released several times over a span of 10 years, with little to no change to the formula?

"that's not a bad idea honestly, i'd like that" - like everyone ever who's played a sonic game on the sega genesis
I'd honestly prefer Nintendo's extraordinary polish and attention to detail on what makes their older games good over SEGAs constant experimental flumps and occasional hallway simulators that turn the mascot into a running joke/meme.

Also claiming Nintendo doesn't enjoy experimenting with things is like an oxymoron. The only stuff that comes to mind which is literally the same game over and over again is the ugh New Super Mario Bros series, and they of course would never try to milk that much out of Sonic as they would Mario.

I love the fact that nobody brings up Nintendo's bad ideas for games, and when they do, they have a defice for it. Let's see here:

Super Mario Sunshine (a bad experiment that fans want a sequel to)
Paper Mario Sticker Star (a game universally hated but everyone still has to have five things nice to say about it)
Advertisements for real cars in Mario Kart (something that SEGA was yelled at for doing)
Giveing us too many charicters to care about (Sonic and his friends are better)
Not useing said charicters (look at Mario Party and Kart and tell me how many characters are filler. Baby, Cat, and Gold versions and mooks included)

Say what you want about SEGA, they at lest try to lesten to thier fans. When Fans said they wanted less friends, we got Sonic 4. When the fans said we want Tails back, we got Tails back. When the fans hated 06, the warehog, and about 20 other things, we did not see them agien (aside from 06 in Generations). The only thing that I can think of that Nintendo gave us was the original flying power-up, Yoshi, and more Fan service, Two of the three I could care less, and the third I'm starting to go the other way with.

Sonic has had his bad games like Boom and 06, but Sonic Adventure is better made then Mario 64 and Sonic Heroes is a better game then Sunshine. There are more bad Mario games then Nintendo Fan boys want to admit, or do I have to bring up Sticker Star, New Super Mario Bros 2, The Lost Levels, Mario Party 1/9/10 and (if we are going to count non-nintendo games) Mario's Missing, Teaches Typing, Hotal, and Time Machine. I'm sorry, but Sonic makes good games too and sometimes they are better then Mario
Ugh do you really have to be that guy, in 2015? Really? Well here I go anyways.

Is this even a big deal or relevant?

Quote:Giveing us too many charicters to care about (Sonic and his friends are better)
Since when has Mario had too many characters aside from the silly clones with no series seen exclusively in only the recent spinoffs?

Quote:Not useing said charicters (look at Mario Party and Kart and tell me how many characters are filler. Baby, Cat, and Gold versions and mooks included)
They actually get a lot of shit for this

Quote:Say what you want about SEGA, they at lest try to lesten to thier fans.
They listen, they listen as well as a half-deaf man.

Quote:When Fans said they wanted less friends, we got Sonic 4.
That was a great game

Quote:When the fans said we want Tails back, we got Tails back.
Hoorah, we're getting content back that we had 20 years ago!

Quote:When the fans hated 06, the warehog, and about 20 other things, we did not see them agien (aside from 06 in Generations).
Well when their entire company is at stake for their own silly design shenanigans then of course they'll listen to their most vocal audience, sales!

The subjective

Quote:Sonic has had his bad games like Boom and 06, but Sonic Adventure is better made then Mario 64 and Sonic Heroes is a better game then Sunshine.
Any response to this sentence would get me an infraction for blatant trolling on my part.

1.) One mediocre game out of a thousand, 2.) not actually bad just unoriginal in changes, 3.) what, 4.) Again, rethink your definition of "bad". A lot of these just aren't great, a series is bound to get stale when it hits 10 but from a face-value view they're fine.

So, even if I didn't argue the validity of the ridiculous stuff said here, what you're saying is that: 5% of Mario games are bad compared to Sonic's insane 60% or so. You really had to dig deep in there man.

SEGA is just a horrible company in general; for occasional flukes like the Virtual Boy that were only rough waters for a while, SEGA makes decisions like the Saturn that doom their entire company. Honestly, selling Sonic to Nintendo would be the safest bet at having quality games on a regular basis because they actually have the budget and care to put polish and good design into their titles. I actually don't feel like anything you said was really relevant to this point at all. For all your small nitpicks at Nintendo they usually do things better ten-fold, as much as you'd like to not believe it.

Sonic is in safer hands with them.
Sweet Jesus fuck where do I begin

Quote:I love the fact that nobody brings up Nintendo's bad ideas for games, and when they do, they have a defice for it.
Excuse me? I remember tons of people complaining about, let's say, New Super Mario Bros 2 and how it had such a shitty gimmick to artificially extend gameplay (helped my incredibly misleading promotional material that promised a "great reward" for collecting one million coins.

Quote:Super Mario Sunshine (a bad experiment that fans want a sequel to)
That's a subjective statement. What made it a "bad experiment"?

Quote:Paper Mario Sticker Star (a game universally hated but everyone still has to have five things nice to say about it)
"Fuck objectivity! Blind hate is the best way to evaluate a game!"

Quote:Advertisements for real cars in Mario Kart (something that SEGA was yelled at for doing)
People weren't exactly happy about Mercedes Kart either (sites like Kotaku and Techchrunch railed on it, for instance).

Quote:Giveing us too many charicters to care about (Sonic and his friends are better)

Not useing said charicters (look at Mario Party and Kart and tell me how many characters are filler. Baby, Cat, and Gold versions and mooks included)
I also recall people not being fans of having TWO clones each of Mario and Peach in Mario Kart 8, or adding new babies after babies over more significant characters in Mario Kart installments, among other roster choices in the series as of late. (Though I can concede that some excuses to justify it are annoying; the whole "it's extra content so how dare you criticize the game" argument can go right to hell.)

Quote:Say what you want about SEGA, they at lest try to lesten to thier fans. When Fans said they wanted less friends, we got Sonic 4. When the fans said we want Tails back, we got Tails back. That's SEGA's problem, though. They tend to not know what fans like until it's way too late, and they often can't take the hint that Sonic fans don't like how SEGA handles switching up the formula of the series.

Quote:Sonic has had his bad games like Boom and 06, but Sonic Adventure is better made then Mario 64 and Sonic Heroes is a better game then Sunshine.
Because Sonic Adventure totally wasn't hobbled with a terrible camera or framerate issues, and I'm sure people loved the Big segments!

Oh good god, I'm just done with your post now. It's clear you've got an incredible bias going into this.

I shouldn't have but it was so amusing I had to see what some others thought
Super Mario Sunshine is easily one of the best Mario games ever what the fuck.
unpopular opinions strike again in tsr!!!

then again, this guy seems to be passing his opinions as a fact, so i sorta think this guy deserves what was coming to him.

if it was such a bad experiment, why would fans want a sequel to it? you seem to contradict yourself there. plus, if i am correct, i dont really hear anyone asking for a sonic lost world sequel, which was a very experimental title itself...

dont mean to beat a dead horse, but this statement here struck me as odd...
So I'm the only one who thinks being able to drive the Monopoly Car in Mario Kart is awesome?
I fucking loved the Mercedes, I don't know what he's talking about
The inclusion of the Mercedes DLC, aside from being pretty cool in general, is made incredible by these commercials:

I...

I had no idea there were more live action commercials. Oh my God, those things are just as glorious as the first.
