I like how Tai is animated in the running pose. Though those last two seem kind of weird. Not sure exactly why though.
It took almost all morning but now, the sheet should be finished.

Guess I'll get back to Zoroark after this.
I'm back, and I've did the rest of Zoroark's sprites!

I know Zoroark has never had a move called Illusion Dust, but I had to come up with something.

I felt I needed to point out the Mario style thing.

What do you think?
They do look pretty good. Though it looks more custom style than Mario style. It is more animateable than traditional Mario styles. (IE platformers)
the furry mane thing doesn't look like fur, due to the smooth shading you applied to it, especially on the ladder climbing sprites. Instead of making curve shading like a ball, use smooth 'V' patterns over it.

I guess that could only mean one thing!

Like...this?

I've never really done fur before.
Back again, and now I'm doing something else:
"Porting" my 16/32-bit Paper Mario from MFGG to here, because I plan to do Paper Luigi sometime and wanted it to available in both places, without it being weird.

*Updated*(I'm most likely going to trash this sheet for a more organized one [Image: L_Can_I_fix_it.png] )

As usual, I'd like to here any suggestions and/or criticism before I upload it, so I can make it as good as it can be! Big Grin
You're trying to cram details into a small space. I'd remove all the outlines separating different parts of Mario, such as the outline between the hand and the overalls, the hat and the face, etc. Because you'd have more space for the amount of detail you're trying to fit in there. I also spy some banding.

Is this what you meant?
On a side note, these where edited from SMB3 Mario long time ago(last year) to fit with other sprites that weren't Paper Mario style, and now I need to update them to my modern standards(?) for my sprites. Thanks for the info.
No, you can still see the outlines separating different parts of Mario. There should be only one outline around Mario as a whole, not separating different parts of Mario.

I'm guessing this is what you mean, but I think it might be losing the Paper Mario feel, as Paper Mario has outlines everywhere.
It's okay to put outlines everywhere when you're drawing, but the reason you need to remove them here is some of the details you're trying to cram in there. Removing the outlines would give you far more space for those details.
I agree with Quo about the outline statement. I can also see that Mario's skin need a bit more saturated colors and the red and blue needs a bit more crisp, more contrast. Also, don't be afraid to break your outline as Quo said, make room for maybe additional shading that could make the sprite pop out a bit more! Below is a quick edit of what I mean, hope it helps! Smile (though, the little edit on the hat made mario look like luigi, welp i need some sleep!)

I really, really don't mean to sound stubborn or anything, but I couldn't really do that without losing the style I was going for, so I tried editing it different way: [Image: image.png]

I want it to fit in with my other sprites(plus loosely with SMAS+SMW sprites).

Is this good enough? [Image: L_like_this_right.png]
Mario's nose is kind of pointy.
