I take it you must not like Rare designs?

K. Rool has uneven eyes, but most characters from Rare have even eyes.

Grunty always had one eye half closed, the other uncovered. I based the face directly off of her mugshot in the game.

That much is true. Perhaps we should meet in the middle?

Id say keep the face design when it comes to the cheeks, but use the messed-upped eyes.

I like the original nose too. The edited one bends down way too much.

I see I've brought up some 'controversy', I think? My feelings on the old sprites were that they looks doughy, too smooth and sort of unfocused, waaay to nice looking for Old Grunty! Either way, here's just some stuff I've put together on a scratchpad:

I decided to make some more poses:



fist one is Mr. Vile in a swimming position.

Second one is Banjo N' Kazooie performing the Talon-Trot, I felt that we should make Banjo face away from the screen, to me it feels right, along with perspective and all.

and the final Banjo poses were supposed to be a swim-like "stance", but it could also be when Kazooie is flying, and Banjo just kinda hangs there...up to you guys on that one (also included a no-arm version, in-case if any of you don't like the arms and/or hands)

I do like what you've made there ittan-momen, especially that background.

Ittan-Momen, your stuff is gorgeous! I'm not sure what's happening to Gruntilda's face when rotated and I do prefer MutantYoshi's Talon-Trot. It seems more natural.

I think the rotated sprite is supposed to be a damage frame.

I know but it looks like her nose is bent back.

I'm still not fond of Grunty's face...



As you can see her nose is a little more straight and her mouth isn't as far down.

I hope you guys don't mind but I changed Grunty's face. Tell me what you guys think... because I still thinks it needs more touching up.

Sarcasm appreciated, but your gif inspired some simple talking animation. Still a little janky but I'm working on it.

Edit: Oh yeah, almost forgot, worked on that nose for y'all.

Anyway love the gif! I laughed out loud when I saw that! Grunty and Dingpot look like they're jamm'n!
