That was really informative Yawa. Big Grin
If I'm to be honest I actually kinda like Mega Drive better as a name, but I still call it Genesis because of being used to US names. Tongue
OK so yesterday I kind of slacked off but I started on it today. However the idea I mentioned before, with a non-black background, was something like this (only 2 did sprites for an example). With this it shows the exact size of the sprite (which in this case is the size of the screen) since the black background is part of it. But I can also just keep it like SuperAj3's sheets, as far as I'm personally concerned I think they're fine too.

Oh, by the way, I also found that each frame has a couple of blurred frames before it, like so. I think SuperAj3 didn't think they were necessary since people can blur them themselves. I agree, but it's just that white flash on the first frame that makes me think twice. Do you want me to include these or should we just let people blur and flash the frames themselves?
Welll if you can get them, add them Big Grin
What Previous said. I can't see how anyone could get that SAME EXACT blur effect without a lot lot of work anyway.
Emmy Puzzle Answer [Playable Character], Layton Puzzle Answer [Playable Character], Luke Puzzle Answer [Playable Character] [fixes of existing sheets] - 10/9/2012

Emmy Puzzle Answer
Layton Puzzle Answer
Luke Puzzle Answer
Professor Layton and the Last Specter (DS)

Took a wee while but here they are. Bit wider than I would have liked but it was the most space-efficient way I could find while still ordering them properly.

By the way, you may notice that I've added penultimate frames for both correct and incorrect answers for Luke and Emmy. Layton has him smiling or frowning, while Luke and Emmy appear to look the same either way (which SuperAj3 probably thought and only included one). However if you look closely you'll notice that their eyebrows change, plus you can also see Emmy's mouth a bit when she's wrong.

In any case enjoy!
Fonts [Miscellaneous] [fix of existing sheet] - 22/09/2012

Using the super-awesome modified Gens (Gens11b) that Maxim linked to here, I discovered that my fonts were missing a black outline. I was using them for an icon today and noticed that they looked a bit weird on some backgrounds, so I checked it out. I wanted to check it out for a while but only got round to it now because of this.
So anyway yeah just reripped them all with the borders. I also checked and confirmed that Gens11b uses EXACTLY the same palettes as Gens, which according to Yawackhary is as close to the true palette as you'll get. Gens/GS, which I used previous, uses a palette that looks exactly the same, but GIMP gave slightly different values, while Gens11b emulator gives identical values. I won't go and rerip every sheet though, as far as I can tell the differences are so extremely miniscule, if they even exist at all, that it would be too much work for pretty much no reason.

In any case I'll be using Gens11b from now on.
This isn't a big deal or anything but it'd be nice if you could make the background color something a bit easier on the eyes. Your usual green color would work.
You think? I'm just using the blue because that's what the rest of the Puggsy sheets (by TKGB) used, and so far it hasn't conflicted with any sprites. Personally I don't have a problem with the colour on the eyes, but I wouldn't mind doing green, I'll just have to make a box for that green palette.
I understand consistency, but just because someone else had a certain BG color doesn't mean you have to, really.
If you think it's fine you can keep it, it was only a suggestion since bright blue compared to things like magenta and green, which generally everyone is used to, might hurt some people's eyes but it could just be me.
Oh and no you don't, there's enough of a difference between the greens (plus the sprite has an outline):

I'm rather knowledgeable on properly contrasting backgrounds on sheets so I wouldn't suggest the green if I didn't know it would work. Wink
Yeah, after I wrote that I realised that the outline would make a box unnecessary, and when you actually put them together the greens aren't that similar anyway.

Anyway, reuploaded and relinked the above post. I might actually keep that colour for future Puggsy sheets, it looks pretty nice with the sprites.
Upsterdated. Wink
Great! By the way, not to nag, but did you update the Puzzle Answer sheets yet? They don't seem to be up.
Oh I didn't? Welp. Fixed that.
Oh and something I noticed... when you disable layers in DeSmuME or whatever the background is black, and since the sprites appear to be anti-aliased... well, hopefully people can find a way to use them. Unless they're on a black background in-game, in that case they're fine.
Actually some games have a different background than just black, the Last Specter has a bright green when you disable all layers. That's not including GPU, if you disable that it always gives black (since it's disabling the Graphics Processing Unit).
But these sprites are actually on a black background in-game, so it's fine. As far as I can tell the black is actually part of the sprite, it's on the same layer in any case, so I can't separate it. But for any use similar to the original game, these sprites should suffice.

And here's the game icon:

I'm surprised that this wasn't done yet, the sounds were already up and these sprites were just there for the picking.

By the way, if you don't want flipgamecomplete.png, fliplevelcomplete.png and flipsprites.png I can remove them, since for practical use they're not really necessary (which actually makes me wonder why they're there in the first place). You might still want to keep them for reference or something, I dunno.
