I'm currently in love with the Sonic Generations OST. It has wonderful boss themes and classic songs hidden in some remixes.

April fools is a bit far away, but whatever.
This song makes me want to rip off my ears.

At least the last boss song is alright:

Unlike the one from the first game, which makes me want to murder someone:

Sorry about that, lemme freshen it up in here with non-shitty Songs from the original trilogy.

Hearing these makes me wonder why Sonic 4's music is so horrible.

EDIT: Heh, oh that was all Sonic 3.
EDIT2: After listening to both episodes' soundtracks, I have come to the conclusion that the composer was on meth. That is all.

idk if you know this, but apparently the composer is actually Jun Senoue (for both games). People have been saying that the reason the OST is uninspired is because he did all the work alone on it, but I think it's more like he not doing his best (overlimiting himself and stuff) and trying to force some kind of nostalgia upon us. I would like to compare it with Megaman 9's OST, even though it's "retro", the composer(s?) made sure that it actually felt like NES and didn't try to emulate anything, they just did the best they could in style, like they really went back in time and worked on Megaman 9, disregarding the nostalgia factor.

Well that was a long text for this thread, I should stay on-topic, so here's more Catherine stuff:

i wouldn't be surprised if this was already posted but i don't even give a shit.

creepy crag is pretty much the best song.
here's some music from a japan only NES classic released japan only, plays alot like the NES Zelda but more action based,

I find it works pretty well as background music for drawing. (For me, anyway; it feels like I draw better if there's music playing.)

Hey Captain Rainbow!

This is 1 of the four songs in Sonic 4 Ep 1 that were great (Splash hill zone 1-3 are pretty nice, especially act 2)

Here is some music from one of my Favorite Shooters Jet Force Gemini,

This game is awesome i suggest it to anyone who loves Rareware classics
