Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess (GC)

Actually the wii version came first but seeing the file formats I think they developed it for the Gamecube, then changed their mind and decided to port it to the wii and release the wii version first. After that they used the original files to port it back to the Gamecube that's why I think it uses gamecube formats. One thing though is that TP uses a newer version of the arc format. That's why it cant be extracted directly with rarc but must be converted to .rarc to extract them. Very confusing at first though since I didn't know how to extract them.

It was developed for both. However, it's essentially the same game, which means the same engine, and same model format. BMD and BRRES are two entirely different formats, so they wouldn't just change the format between versions.

it was suposed to come out on the GameCube, but they pushed the release date back and released the Wii version that Christmas instead of the original GC version for the winter game rush. it got release for GC a few months later.

the main reason you can tell that it was for the GC first, was because Link is Left Handed. the Wii version has him right handed. they mirrored the whole game so that the Wii controlls would work better.

I finally got a copy of the GC version a year or two ago, and I had a hard time finding a strategy guild to help me because most people had the Wii version. a friend even let me borrow a limited edition map of hyrule that shows the locations of a bunch of collectables....but it was mirrored. so I had to read it from the other side while we put a light behind it.
