Anyway, the pig's hammer is weird looking; at first, I thought it was part of his head. Maybe make it lighter. Also, if you're trying to go for a wood grain feel on the hammer, you might want to make it a more refined spiral or something.
On the guy, he looks good. His sword kinda blends in with his legs, but that would be remedied by some animation.
The monster has a nice design so far.
