I guess it still does, i think i might just hide most of it.

It does feel a tad fast especially since i removed 3 frames, i'll look into that.

Edit:
Actually, tested the animation on animation shop 3, acdsee 12 and firefox, all 3 have very different timings when playing animations. (AS3 slowest, ACDS12 faster, FF fast as hell)

Not sure what to do about it, seems to depend on the viewer used.

No.

Edit2:

updated version, tried to give it a timing that should show up on FF as i originally intend it.

Much, much better.

Nicely done, I like it

With the way that the leaf bounces back to its original position, it looks like you need to put some kind of "hair flip" motion on the head.

Yeah, and now that you noticed that I see that the shadow in the leaf seems tha same in all frames

oh, the head didn't need to do that

The animation's pretty fluid, but
there's something up with the leaf that's bothering me, but I can't put my finger on it Unsure

the leaf movement makes almost no sense, that's whats bothering you

it randomly pauses and skips when literally nothing in this animation should be doing so, removing those frames really removed a LOT of fluidity and made everything look choppy and rushed

back to the leaf though
it shouldn't be that jumpy, it should flow like a leaf actually would, not get whipped around and then somehow freeze for 2 or 3 frames

What kind of leaf are u assuming this is?

a leaf that follows the rules of gravity

one thats not made of fibergrass, given how stiff it is right now.

Neither of those are types of leaves, good job.

Well it is meant to b a rigid leaf, so makes sense why ur comments didn't make sense to me.

It's the shading that's putting me off most. Most leaves tend not to flap around like hair or paper, they stay pretty rigid unless something forces them to change shape. I think it just needs shading relative to it's position.

Dude, Chikorita's head leaf followed movement and gravity in the anime, so why it shouldn't here as well?

I just find really weird how in the animation she stops moving, and the leaf stays still for a bit only to pop out weirdly. I think that's where the main problem is.

it just pops out how much of the animation is hand made and how much is an edit/recolor of the original. you failed to blend these two, and the result is a leaf that even when its suposed to be rigid but instead moves randomly without following the flow of the main character

note: rigid leafs arent made of rigid materials, they arent even rigid. the stiffness(:V) of a leaf is given by its structure. smaller leafs stay in place so their top will always be facing the sun, but they will always bend if some presure is made. larger leafs wll not bled that easily since they are either longer, thicker, or both. but they will evetually bend too due their weight.

even more, if you consider that chikorita would be the equivalent to a sprout, his/her leaf would be a really flexible and soft. specially when that leaft is meant to act as hair, for the purpose of enhacing the appeal of her movements.
