The only thing I don't approve of so far are the Pokémon levels, some are 4-5 levels under from when they're suppose to evolve, this was something HGSS recently fixed like Rival having a level 16 Totodile instead of a level 16 Croconaw. (since it evolves at 18). Only wild Pokémon can be seen underleveled, but that's on rare occasions and should not be made into something common.

I think Torkoal is a better choice over Combusken(since he's too underleveled), since we're not going with the cowboy theme anymore. And even though Flannery had Torkoal as her main fire poke, keep in mind that Juan's main was Kingdra in Emerald, which is similar to Clair. Besides, not many good fire Pokémon to choose from anyway. And for Brooke, I think you can pick something better than Quagsire, I mean HGSS Misty and Crasher Wake have used him already, there's many water types to choose from, like Psyduck/Finneon/Corphish. Or you could use this as a good place to use a starter like Wartortle since it's evolved from level 16 and you can switch Wigglytuff to 15 or something. No reason we should be having such strong Pokémon so early in the game and restricting them to unnecessary levels.

Just trying to make sense here in terms of gameplay.

Most of these are pretty bad ideas, but I know Chad and Zac can make something cool out of them:

Mainland
Based on 1800’s America, the mainland is where your journey begins. The Pokémon League is located here, as well as many farmes and ranches that ship supplies throughout the Pokémon World. After defeating the league and obtaining the National Pokédex you are granted access to the big island and island chain.

Big Island*
Based on Southern California, the big island is a choice vacationing spot for both tourists and Pokémon Trainers. The Battle Frontier and Colosseum are located here.

Island Chain*
Based on Hawaii, the island chain is a place of exotic mysteries. Many claim to have seen legendary Pokémon on these islands off the coast of the big island.

Sinnoh-Based Evolutions
A traveling merchant from Sinnoh will appear in a random Pokémon Center every day. He will sell you either the Moss Fragment, the Ice Fragment, or the Coronet Fragment once per day. If certain Pokémon hold certain Sinnoh items, they will evolve upon level up.

The Colosseum*
While Pokémon Unity 2010 uses tactics battles for everything from wild Pokémon to the Eilte Four, only the Colosseum located on the big island(?) allows trainers to fight in the traditional Pokémon battle system.

Unity Team*
Like GameFreak in the mainstream Pokémon games, you can meet the various Unity Team members throughout the mainland during the course of the game. After you defeat the Pokémon League you can find all of them together at the big island’s hotel.

Jobs*
Not everyone is a Pokémon Trainer! Take part in contests, grow a farm, start a ranch, be a miner, or jog in the Pokéathlon. You can participate in one or more jobs. This means that battling the Pokémon League isn’t required. There are Mastery Requirements, however, that unlock the after-game. Mastery requirements for jobs are as follows:
Trainer - Beat the Pokémon League
Coordinator - Obtain all of the Master Contest ribbons
Ranchero - Upgrade to the largest ranch size
Farmer - Upgrade to the largest farm size
Miner - Find all of the Ancient Relic parts
Pokéathlete - Obtain x number of points (idk, haven't done the Pokeathlon myself)

PokéRanch**
Seeing as the mainland is a very open and rural place, you are allowed to purchase a ranch in set locations. You start your ranch out with a house and fenced area. You may only place a certain amount of Pokémon in your ranch until you upgrade. There are also buildings and scenery you may purchase, like stables (where two Pokémon can breed) and ponds (which allows certain Water Pokémon to live on your ranch).

PokéFarm**
You can grow massive orchards of apricorns on your farm if you choose to be a farmer. Buy a farm on the mainland and you can grow berries, bitter herbs, and apricorns. Purchase an Apricorn Stall and you can create your own Pokéballs in a day. Along with the Apricorn Stall you can buy other stalls that produce Pokéblocks, Poffins, and Aprishakes.

Housing**
After you decide you don’t want to move with your parents, you travel the region and become a Pokémon Master. But after you do complete your job’s mastery requirement you may buy a house. Owning a house is a prerequisite for getting married and you can place furniture in it.

Marriage**
Unlike the mainstream Pokémon games, you’re not 10 years old. You are, in fact, 18 years old and can get married to certain characters in game depending upon your gender. Your spouse can save money for you like your mom did in Johto. I’m not sure what else to add.

*Just an idea, not confirmed
**Part of the Pokémoon idea series, which is also not confirmed

the only one of those I'm directly opposed to is the marriage thing, that just doesn't seem pokemon enough

any way, here is a rough map, as you can see it's based of the missouri illinois idaho area, the yellow is the part were the game takes place, green is all areas that are not part of the game (like pokemon colloseum)
the red dots represent like major citiys, based of the irl chicago, st louis and springfeild areas.
I wasn't sure were to put the smaller dots, with the execption of starting town-brook
also like we can fill that in as we go so
this probably doesn't make any sense, but I can explain over msn
oh all that water at the top is an exageration of the great lakes, I know jar wanted alot more water. thats the main reason I included so much of rl IL, cause the lakes and chicago work so well togethor

I haven;t forgotten this, I promise

@ZAC: Quagsire is looking great, but his back needs to arch inward some where his head is connected. Also the map is pretty much perfect, though I had an idea that you could get your own raft (in place of the bike) and could eventually sail all the way down river to Loiusiana (probably not going to happen though). Also there needs to be a way to access the west coast.

@Seng: YES YES YES YES YES all of those YESSS
