I also think you should use Arthur's eye shape, he nailed it perfectly.

If I were you, I'd restart, using Arthur's face.

I guess I'll post the bit of tinkering I did after posting?

Also I hate to sound harsh but I think that what we've got so far is an atrochious blocky pile and needs to be re-started from scratch. Very Sad

Here's a helpful reference for the arm part.

Also, why is everybody sticking 100% to their references? It's honestly so much better to try and come up with a better, or more energetic, version of the idle. Maybe make him lean down more and look more fierce in general.

I don't think the sprite looks good in general because you are using too many rounded corners. I decided to make an outline of the right one that I think would look good because I was bored. If you want to use it and or edit it, go ahead

It looks alittle awkward around the knee, seeing as it just kinda goes from knee to foot immediatly.

Its going to be incredibly hard making a bunch of poses for a sprite this big. Instead we should edit regular Bowser and increase his size in the game. It won't look as good but it won't be impossible to do.

Or we should simply make a bunch of pieces and then program them to be arranged and animated a certain way to save a whole lot of time.

When I release the character designer, you could mess with properties like rotation and scale. Using that and assembling all of the sprites together could get the job done.
Think of how this sprite sheet works: http://www.spriters-resource.com/ds/supe...sheet/7262
We should do something like that.

Wasn't this the original plan anyway?

And it doesn't matter if Giga Bowser takes a long time to animate. This is a charity community project anyways. There are no deadlines to meet or anything.
