Character Tweaks [revamped first post!]

Silly Ceey, don't you realize that the Smash Bros project is not to be a project about Smash Bros?

Is there really an "old" Smash Bros. Project? It's the same project, people just decided to make an actual fangame out of it. And if we didn't add unique content like new and tweaked (read as: improved) characters, why would people even want to play this game, what would be the draw? They could just play the real Smash Bros. for an assuredly better experience. Besides, it allows us to add our own flair while still attempting to stay true to the actual Smash Bros. series.

...for characters that don't actually make the roster

edit: and this project's new direction is actually interesting

While i do like how some things are, it isn't truly a 'smash bros project' but rather a whole new smash bros. Like a new Mario fangame wouldn't be called the 'super mario brothers project', even in development stages. It gives either the wrong idea or conveys a sense of remake-ness and "oh, a project about Smash Bros". Give it a name like Super Smash Bros Clash/Skirmish/Bitchfight so that it gives the feeling of originality.

I assume the name (or lack thereof) is just tentative.

Yeah, but Nintendo never made a 'new gameboy project' when making the GBA.

completely different, yet true to the original to an extent.

That could work.

You could have Mewtwo use a semi-visible force field that repels players, but distance they are repelled depends on how much you charge it. Also, the lag after the attack and the distance it covers (The reason why players would be pushed farther) is proportional to amount of power stored upon its release. No damage. However, I think both the Attack's Distance and the Repelling Distance together is a bit cheap. If you feel, you could take off either, and it should probably be more efficient. Or it could just be a double-sided projectile with damage and no repelling. Either way, we could call it.....um...*looks up a list of Pokemon moves*...oh..Barrier. Forgot that it was an actual Pokemon move Genki ^_^.

Speaking of which, I think Ness's PSI Shield should push opponents back a bit farther, or opponents should be a little less resistant to it...

Yoshi Tweaks:

-B Tongue comes out faster. The move itself already has limited effect, you might as well make it fast.
-B Up can be held for better aim.
-B Side works like Wario's Bike, Yoshi can leap out of his egg as a third jump. Much like Wario can jump off his bike. Yoshi Egg Roll will also have more aerial distance. Good recovery.

Tongue is already fast enough; instead, it should be a bit longer, but retain its current speed.
