Besides the mask and other 'trappings', he pretty much is a blue kirby, so yea.
Any noise annoys an oyster, but a noisy noise annoys an oyster more.

Yeah, at least in terms in size, the new one is indeed much better. The shading on the new one could still stand some improvement, though.

I think you need to remember where you want the light to shine on Meta knight, because the shading is a bit confused (compare his mask to the nearest us)

Its not really the angle, its the cut-out part of the mask that's placed wrong.
