GUYS. Before you do ANYTHING.
The Mario everyone's been using as a reference is not the original Mario sprite.

INFACT it's a frame into the idle animation.

Mario has closed fists for his idle in Brawl, but it's not like that has to be followed however the hands do need adjusting. The right hand is awkward due the movement of the right arm.
