They do look really good. I love Paper Mario Style. Just, on some parts, the outline isn't as thick as it is in other parts (for instance, on some of the feet). Keep the outline consistent. That's my only problem.

I don't think you should've edited the toad's cap for the shroob, I think it would look more like a shroob if it were less wide.

Still, nice sprites.

It looks too bright because all the other PM sheets are on light backgrounds, where if you look at this sheets backgrounds colour, it's actually a lot darker.
Your second point is simply wrong.
