I actually don't like Earthworm Jim.

Any of them.

Speaking of Earthworm Jim, it would be really cool to see another Neverhood game. Skullmonkeys is OK, but it's a platformer as opposed to a point-and-click. It's also extremely hard, I sort of gave up at one point (although I should try it again sometime).

And before anyone says Armikrog, I know that's being made and I'm extremely excited for it, but it's more of a spiritual sequel. I'm talking about a new game in the Neverhood universe, but unfortunately EA doesn't seem eager to give Doug TenNapel the rights Sad

It's been over five years since Henry Hatsworth was released.

There has been no word of a sequel since then.

All I have to ask is why?

Well there was Monster Tale with the same exact combat system but plays more like a Metroidvania with a Chao Garden-esque subgame (in contrast with Tetris Attack on the bottom screen of HH)
and it's heavily implied that Henry Hatsworth is the main character's grandfather :V
so there was a sequel but it was a ~spiritual sequel~

~spiritual like ghosties~

There was also Epic Mickey Power of Illusion for the 3DS but that's basically if the same combat system existed but if Henry was a ranged character with awful hitlag after every attack so you couldn't combo for shit in a game with a combo system

Since you mentioned it, Kosheh, I'd like to see an Epic Mickey game (or an animated feature/series) that finally does the series justice. With Junction Point in the state that it is now and how Disney is likely embarrassed to give the rights to someone else, anything Epic Mickey related is far from likely.

It would have been nice if Dark Souls had gotten a sequel more true to the game.

Oh well.

I have not heard of this game; gonna look into it.

Though I was hoping more for a direct Hatsworth sequel though, but if this is basically the same game sans the puyo puyo then I wouldn't mind getting it!

Monster Tale was actually another game I was planning on listing in here. It's not really the same game at all even without the lower-screen mini-game. It's much more like a cartoony, lighthearted Castlevania game with some monster-raising features thrown in. Raising your monster intelligently gives you lots of fun abilities to utilize. It's much more exploration (and backtracking) focused than Hatsworth was.

The game was really good, but had a lot of untapped potential that it unfortunately never got to use. There is so much more they could have done with this game, which is why a sequel in which these elements could finally be put to use would be fantastic. Plus the game's end already kind of implied that they had an idea for a sequel, so it'd be a shame if it never got one. The game is pretty damn obscure though, so chances of it happening are slim.

But check out what a great job they did with the sprites! http://www.spriters-resource.com/ds/monstertale/

this would be cool. maybe not a sequel, but more of a revamp or w/e

-cave story
-a more faithful rocket knight adventure sequel/revamp Surprise
-gunstar heroes
-astro boy: omega factor

I see people say this often, and I'd play it if one were made, but what exactly would a sequel entail?  The island fell down and the crown was destroyed, right?  Can't exactly be a Cave Story if there's no cave anymore...

My guess is that they find another cave or something. For example, even though Luigi explores at least five different haunted abodes, the game is still called Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. If the game could be called that when the original mansion Luigi "won" is nowhere in sight, the same logic could apply here.

Drawn to Life could use another sequel. I didn't really like the second one but the first was pretty golden.

I squeezed every last drop of gameplay from Micro Maniacs when I was younger, I would honestly love to see it get a sequel. It was so fun and different. So many unlockable tracks, each with their own special charm. Good memories there.
