The tSR Icons for the sheets
#1
The gray box in the middle of nowhere is the text color.
The one we use for the Icons is in the top left hand corner.
The Font is Verdana size 7

(RTB's edit: Alternatively, you could also use Barubary's Icon Maker, or you can use a pre-assembled PSD file.)

(Important Note from RTB: So that you guys won't have any more problems with anti-aliasing for the text. For Windows XP (and Vista?) users, that is.
- Click the Start button.
- Click on "Control Panel".
- Click on "Display".
- Click on the Appearance tab.
- Click the Effects box.
- UNCHECK the box that says "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:"

THERE. No more anti-aliasing on the fonts.)

So I guess I'm not the only one who saved it then. Also, for MSpaint users, type 7 into the font size, because it's probably not on the drop-down list, because someone's bound to ask this at some point.

Also be sure to turn off anti-aliasing before putting text in the tSR icons.

How to turn off anti-aliasing on Windows XP:
1) Right click the desktop.
2) Properties > Appearance > Effects
3) Uncheck the "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:"

Other OS's will have different directions for turning on/off anti-aliasing and some image programs (like Photoshop) have ways to turn on/off anti-aliasing in them.

Verdana shouldn't cause anti-aliasing at such a small size.

Actually, it does anyway, and it ends up making an indecipherable blur instead of English.

Also be sure to turn off the "kerning" feature, which should be right next to the Anti-Aliasing feature in image programs such as Macromedia Fireworks or Adobe Photoshop.

I own Photoshop CS3 and don't know what "kerning" is. It might be in Fireworks, though, as I never use it.

You could just use Baurbary's icon maker, y'know.

Or just don't use it. Do it manually. That's how TRUE spriters do it.

I think you'll find that true spriters are the people that make the games graphics, not rip them.

Pre-assembled PSP files are useless. PSD all the way, simply because it can also be used on PSP instead of only on Photoshop.
