Can't say about the others, but Visual Boy Advance is the supreme choice for GB and GBA.

I personally use Gens11b for Genesis ripping since it gives the proper palette, can disable layers, and you can choose the background colour with an LUA script.
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down. -Mary Pickford

Can it Disable Sprite Layers just to show off the backgrounds?

In Gens11b yes, you can disable and enable all the layers available, so you could remove all the sprites and only show the backgrounds. If there are different layers of backgrounds you can fiddle around with the Scroll A/B and Low/High layers to figure out which is which, and rip them separately (for example if you're indoors and can see scenery outside the windows, you can disable the scenery layer and rip the walls and windows, then vice versa to rip the scenery).

Visual Boy Advance is best for Game Boy, and Game Boy Advance.
Gens11b for Genesis
MAME for Arcade (Pretty hard to get set up unless you really know what you're doing)

Each uses different ripping techniques using these emulators, so you'd be best reading a tutorial on them if you can find one.
Tsunami Bomb - The Simple Truth
We could run away
Leave behind anything paper
Not knowing where we're going to stay
When there's no Mondays

You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
When I'm in your arms, I feel safe from harm and sorrow too
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you

MAME may be a bit hard for me to control due to Game Loading Problems. Sad

I can't load the Road Runner Arcade game up to play. Sad

BTW, what's the best emulator for Game Gear?

MEKA. It emulates Master System, Game Gear and SG-1000.

People to make Emulators that allow Cheat Codes to be activated.

Confidentially, the only way I'll be able to sprite stuff is if you activate cheat codes.

What I need is an Emulator for Sega Genesis and Game Gear that allows Game Genie or PAR Cheat Codes.

Question:

If MAME is a good Arcade Emulator, how do you load a game on the emulator?

Like Road Runner for example?
