While I'm here, maybe the FAQ page could be updated?

Having a typo as early as the second sentence ("There's a lot of way in which the content on this site can be used.") is pretty rough to read.

Most people won't have easy access to Windows XP these days either. Changing "Windows XP" to "Windows" would probably do - I'm unaware of any issues with the newer (or older, for that matter) versions of MS Paint. Personally, I'd recommend something that supporters layers and transparency like GIMP or Photopea, but I understand some prefer simplicity.

Ublock had an additional cosmetic filter going on, which was responsible for messing with the layout. Now everything is normal again.

Disabling all the other filters too (remote fonts, big media elements, javascript, pop-ups) has no effect on showing ads, though.

Interesting - that would explain why it was removing more than it needed to. Good to know if it ever comes up again!

I can’t believe I never caught the lack of a plural in that first sentence. That has been fixed and the software recommendations have been updated.

am I perhaps just missing seeing the icon or is there no RSS for game comments? I have the one for game uploads (uploads.php?gid=####) and submission comments (comments.php?name=submitter) but it doesn't seem to trigger for game comments, and manually trying my expectation (comments.php?gid=####) doesn't appear to work

There is not one for game comments right now. I don’t actually remember why it was left out at the moment but I do remember intending to do it and then giving up on the idea part-way in.

Maybe a report button for PMs, like if someone sends you a harassing / insulting message, or spam.

(IDK if you're supposed to report a user's profile in that case, but I thought I'd make that suggestion.)

I don't maintain the forum software so I really can't add features to anything forum-related. You are welcome to report the user's profile if you need to report a PM though.

Some of the pages, especially the home page with the new updates, and the pages for games with lots of uploads, can be pretty heavy. For example, hitting spriters-resource.com currently downloads over 10 megs.

Have you thought about lazy loading the thumbnails with <img loading=lazy>? People with limited connections would appreciate it.

We're actually already restricting the number of images being shown on the homepage - it used to be a lot more. There have been some recent huge updates though so even with those limitations in place, there are quite a few images showing. I feel like we don't have a huge number of visitors on slower connections these days but I'm not against looking into adding that in. It isn't quite universal yet but support seems decent so I'll add that attribute for all icon images now and we'll see what happens.

FYI, there's an alternative option available to you as well. Under the user box at the top right, there are a few small icons. One of them switches you over to text mode which hides all icon images outright.

One thing I always wanted in the site is a list of pending revisions.
Just a random dude. I really love programming in C! Hopefully I can publish a game someday! Sometimes I like to rip Super Nintendo games too!

There really isn't a good place to put that nor is there a lot to be gained by seeing it. That said, you can see if a particular item has a revision pending directly because you won't see the pencil icon if it does.

Dumb thought, but on Mario Fan Games Galaxy you can favorite sprite sheets by clicking a little star icon on the submission. Probably wouldn't be all that useful, but it'd be a pretty neat feature regardless.

I feel like this was brought up a long time ago and the general consensus was that you could just use browser bookmarks to accomplish the same thing. I'm not inherently against implementing this but unless there's a lot of demand, it's definitely not high on my priority list.

I don't know if anyone has said it since its like 73 pages of suggestions and responses, but. Can we have a section dedicated to animations?
