Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 rips
The PC files are exactly the same as the console versions and can be unpacked the same way we've been doing it. I'm going to work on recompiling/compressing the cpk file, which I know will be difficult.. To be honest I'm not very familiar with hexing, coding etc.. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it ^.^

To test recompiling I've been using dlc.cpk because it's the smallest .cpk with in game models (As the name suggests, it has the dlc costumes). Earlier today I unpacked the file using the method in this thread, which worked. To re-create/recompile the cpk I used 'CRI Packed file maker' and that seemed to go well. But when I put the file back and hovered over a character with a DLC costume (in game) I got the message 'File cannot be found' then it would lead me back to the start menu.

Then I did the same thing but changed a few settings in CRI packed file maker. This time the game actually detected the file because it didn't come up with the message about the file missing, BUT the game did freeze while it was loading the costume. The file size after unpacking and recompiling was twice the size of the original compressed cpk. Could this be the problem?

Anyone have any ideas?

If it's the same, you can go here: http://naruto3dmodels.blogspot.it/

That's a page I created where I and some friends put Naruto 3d models from Storm games + some custom ones

Ok!
If Noesis gives an error while importing an .xfbin, that means that the file isn't properly extractable for now.
If the export window appears, that means that the .xfbin is crypted, you need to use cpk_unpack also in those .xfbin files, you'll obtain new files, named *.out.xfbin
In any other case, you can export the model in .obj format from Noesis, even if you don't see anything!

Okay thanks. But now another problem I'm facing is I want to get the model from the previous games like I say here but I don't know how to get to the cpk files as I explain here http://www.vg-resource.com/thread-24680-...#pid542469 could you give me a hand with that please? I'm new into ripping.

Thanks

The cpk files are simple to obtain if you have the .iso of the game you want, open it and serach for the .cpk files in data/sym or something similar

The Madara model crashes 3ds max everytime I try to render it, don't know why. If anyone knows where the bones are and/or how I can extract them, I'd appreciate it Smile
