A new generation of pokémon

Guess what: Every one of us has had a point in the past where they started with zero knowledge and experience. You don't learn how to walk if you never try to. Also if you wanted to consider the kind of themes that the actual games use, these are observations people have made about the starters over the generations of pokemon:

The Grass type has always seemed to be some kind of reptile.
The Fire type has been animals from the Chinese Zodiac
The Water type has been aquatic animals (easy).

However I feel like making a theme is the least of your worries. Practice your sprites for a while.

... for some reason I like the fact that they blink, though. xD

These are Pocket Monster splices right? The water one doesn't look like he can fit into his shell, the fire type doesn't look finished, the grass type just creeps me out. What would be great if you did heavy edits or even went for broke and did them from scratch. Here is a great list of tutorials:

Never thought that someone could think of something more....Something more from what ever the original pokemon ( gen 5 + 6 ( not legendary)) is.
Anyway...I hope that the project will go well and you may think of some better models in the future. :p
