THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread
Quote:The move in this game I assume just turns the character into a a crossplay'd anime character and they're just get...embarassed (i.e. Baegal stays Baegal, he just ends up in Chiyo-chan cosplay)

Guess I should clear this up on the Midnight Moe move. The original demo I had that introduced the move involved the lights going out, Marvin Gaye music and a blood curdling scream. Take that as you will

Quote:I've given it some thought recently and I'm sorry to be a pain in the ass, because I think that the Vic attack could work better as a regular special.

Here's an animation to give you a quick idea:

Vic would come in to give a first blow which can be avoided if you jump. If the first hit connects, Chris2Balls delivers the second blow, as Vic withdraws from the screen.
Sloppy animation illustrating the Vic as a regular special

Wait, I thought someone said the character had to have originated in anime, and being a game character that had an anime later didn't count?

well, it's vipes' move, and he just said that was ok, so i guess i was just wrong about that.

Darn you, Blue! How dare you be wrong about a fact you weren't clear on! I oughta have a move that summons a door to hit you on the butt on the way out BECAUSE YOU ARE FIRED! No, not you, Gary Oak, the other Blue. Yes, you, question mark box, door, kart, goodbye.
Mh... after some c+c, I suggest this as a regular special instead.

the rapid twitching of the butt'd opponent is the best part.

Oh, also, can we have voice stings? Like win , lose, attack, hit, things like that?

Requoting this because I still need to know so I can start my stage image. Also, would this be OK for my stage music? It's the boss theme for my own game: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5711653/

Please make dat ass shake as the enemy twitch, please
Midi, you're doing what I used to do (and still sometimes do oops) and thinking too far ahead. I get that, it's always exciting to think about the final product and all the cool little detail things you can do, but it isn't practical, and until you actually show some real progress, people are inclined to doubt your ability to finish anything at all. You should just focus on the basics first, get back to spriting and get some animations down, I know it can seem a bit boring and you might want to take breaks and work on other things, and that's fine, but get those animations done before you go around posting your backgrounds and music selections and stuff.

Yeah, I know, but it's hard for me to focus on one thing for too long. Besides, it doesn't hurt to know.

New clean sheet! I added another alt. color based on a sprite of him I found in the TSRPG topic. His alt colors affect his Strawberry form though, so recolor those with caution (if you do).

Sorry for the double post, but I've updated Neko's victory animation.

Princess now appears and throws Neko the Fishcake.

I approve of this.

I'm also pondering branching off into a new thread for the Fighter Maker edition to keep it from cluttering goings on in the main thread.
