Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

Long as it's fun, I really don't give two fucks if it's a rip-off.

Wait, is that Sweet Tooth?
*sigh*
Sorry, wallet.

Then again, nah. Two pre-orders are enough.

This will probably wind up with mixed reviews and a cult following in five years or so. Calling it right now

asuming nintendo invented crossover battles, we could call it a a rip off of smash bros.

4 player multiplayer, platform style stages, diferent characters from the company (this case, the console?) clashing togheter, what looks like to be a almost identical ring-out system. Welp, if that isn't exactly like Smash Bros, I don't know what it is.

Even though, this looks nice, except for the more cartoony characters models like Parappa and Fat Princess, they look just weird (Sly is alright there). The stages look fun, I hope they get a lot more of characters for this. I'm just worried about the gameplay, it's not looking that much fun right now.

I assumed by the little bars above the character icons that the game used a health meter

Based on what I've seen, it does not appear to be an almost identical ring out system.

In my opinion this is just as much a rip off of smash bros as most modern fighting games are a rip off of Street Fighter

I was thinking those were special meters for some reason, you're right it's health. I guess ringouts just drain it then?

Rip off is not really a good word, "inspired" would be better I guess.

I'm actually really fucking excited for this.

For the record, two additional stage environments involve Little Big Planet and Buzz! Quiz World. Oh, and all six of the characters currently on the roster have been confirmed from the eight-character rumor roster, with the additional two being Nathan Drake and Cole MacGrath.

I'm legitimately excited for this, I've been keeping an ear out on this since I heard about the Title Fight rumors, and now that we've got some confirmation I am extremely excited~

plus this is going to be my Smash Bros fix until Smash Bros comes out with substantial news.

Something that I don't like is how clashing the models for each character seem to be, it just feels slapped on :L
I'll probably check in every now and then, but there's no point in just staying around downtalking something.

First I'd like to point out Smash Bros started out as a pinball fighter with no characters in mind.

Smash always tries to be a quality game with or without Nintendo characters. It seems this game is trying to attract players with it's cast without bothering to make it a quality title.

A lot of companies do that these days, hoping the brand will sell the game and not care whether the product is actually good.

I have this problem with the arenas. Coincidentially, my friend showed me Hades from God of War on Youtube, so that one I started to recognize at first glance. Then I saw Patapon on the background. Way to kill the epic!

Also, what is it with crossovers nowadays adding the word 'All-Stars' to the title as flavoring? SEGA did this too for Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing. At least SSBM included the word All-Stars in just the intro (Nintendo All-Stars presents...), not overloading the title. I can imagine it to be a pain to make a logo with so many characters.

Rants aside, here's some wishful speculation:
