Which link (there are so many) and as far as I'm informed, Min.us only accepts images these days.

I've got a copy of Command Mission and everything in it is .arc. I tried to use Noesis to convert the .arc files to .obj ones but it doesn't seem to work.

Is there a particular tactic I need to use for .arc files?

ohh wow uh, yea unfortunately GameCube games are almost never as easy to rip as Wii games, and the process varies greatly from game to game. that's definitely not the same .ARC.
for this your best bet would be to either ask on the XenTaX forums for assistance or try to rip them using printscreen tools, like 3D Ripper DX, 3DVia Printscreen, DX Ripper, Ninja Ripper etc., and hope the model comes out decent and is fixable. you can learn all about how to do this from the downloadable tutorial found here.
just for the record, if you can't tell by my avatar I'm an avid MMX freak as well, so if you can get models from this game I will uprep you. that's how much I wanna see them ripped.

I'll start face rolling around the Xentax forums and let you know.

FYI, the game was also on PS2, although I'm not sure if that makes it any easier.

oh, you have that version. well, I hate to say but for PS2 there's likely to be no way to do it without being able to convert the actual files from what I've heard, so good luck.
you can always try it but I think that printscreen tools don't work for most of them.

The one I have is the GC version, but my local pawn shop had the PS2 version for like 15 bucks, so I'd have been willing to splurge for it.

oh you made it sound like you had the PS2 version. well that at least gives you some sort of chance at success.

You may be happy to know that I've started ripping the models from Command Mission.

I'm using 3D Ripper Ds and all I need to do is convert them to OBJs which is just a check box in the 3D Ripper interface, and it opens the entire ripped level in Autodesk Maya 2013.

It's slightly skewed, but easy enough to fix.

Screen shot incoming.

Textures? Well that's a bit messier.

I REALLY messed up during the converting. I think I know what I did wrong, though. Heres a picture of what a Rathalos turned out as:

I think that I needed to convert the OBJ to SMD, and then to DAE. What I did was I converted the MD5 to OBJ to SMD to DAE Tongue
[Image: rathalossmd.jpg]
Presumably because the MD5 looks like this, but with the Bones of the entire Rathalos and some texture. Apparently my Brain wasn't in my head all day yesterday. Sick

I'll try the steps again, only with the OBJ, maybe it will heed better results? Big Grin
