alec's models

It's hard to believe that the Arwing is actually hidden in "Ocarina of Time," but that's why we have talented rippers who search deep within these games to find these hidden treasures!

Got anymore hidden beta content that you wish to share with us, alecpike?

I was wondering if any of you had ripped Volvagia yet, I have'nt played Ocarina of time but i have read the manga, and in the manga Volvagia was a baby dragon link bought when he first left the Kokiri forrest, but 7 years later is turned into a monster by ganondorf and link is forced to kill him. I know it's not cannon to the game but I'd love to try makeing a Chibi Volvagia...or Manga Volvagia.

Its in the game, but its a boss you fight as an adult. There's no real story behind it other than the Gorons get screwed over by it if I recall.

the story with volvigia was extremely sad in the manga,
i remember that in the game volvigia was a dragon from long ago who was defeated by an unamed hero who used the magaton hammer

anywho, here is outside of peaches castle from mario 64

i had to keep the textures big for this one

Oh! I didn't think you would rip things from other N64 games, alecpike. Great work as always!

Now that you mentioned the little guy, Valforwing, I feel like creating Baby Volvagia sometime in the near future. Besides, I have a soft spot for dragons! ^.^

You know I bet if I resized Volvagia's Head and Arms and made the body tiny I could make Manga Volvagia.

are there any other games that have Volvagia in them or is he only in OoT?

Hey alec, you uploaded the textures but forgot the model itself. You'll need to reupload it.

a real shame too, I was converting models at work to pass the time before I watched Tron Legacy and found the folder had nothing but textures in it..I thought the file had been damadged in transist or something.

sorry bout that,
this file will have to be uploaded to gmail because the school computers won't let me upload files to virtually anywhere else on the internet

acording to gmail you don't need an account to download it.

Her you go Alec reuploaded to Mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/file/n0kfochz0a...ide%29.zip

Anyway could you help me out Alec? I started ripping some Zelda models again and I've almost finished Young Ruto and Young Link, and Darunia too but I'm curious how you did your combined UV maps?

Is there an easy way to do it or did you just do it all by hand? Just asking because this doesn't look correct:

If you'd like to look at the models I've got my folder I'm working on them with here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/hh3v6vcgc3...20Link.zip Not a model submission do not upload these to the site yet.

You could UV map them yourself, but I'd rather learn the technique and do it for myself so I can share more models with everyone.

Thanks for looking.

Its not bad looking, but because you used a lot of tiled textures you ended up with some of the other one's looking lower quality like Peach's picture. It might be good to have another image if stuff has to have its quality reduced that much. Obviously you don't need to make another 1024x1024, but it wouldn't be awful to have a smaller image with details like that alongside the usual large texture if it calls for it.

Edit: An opacity map would be good to have in there as well.

sorry about the castle, i was in a bit of a hurry
i noticed that the airwing is under objects, shouldn't it be under enemiees
i learnt that you can actually find it by cartridge tilting while opening some treasure chests

speaking of airwings i think that the texture was right, look at this picture
http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20...Arwing.png

anyway zerox, i convert the textures into one file using a tool in the program blender
i would be glad to do that for you, whatis is up with links tunic by the way, its toxic green

ps maybe i could do the future characters and you could do the past characters

I agree it's not exactly a passive object it shoots at you. =P

I've got Blender any chance you could tell me the name of the tool or send me a link to it? It might be faster than doing it by hand.

The tunic is toxic green because it's still the white texture that hasn't been properly recolored yet, I temporarily used a green overlay on the material to make it appear somewhat green instead of white.

I'm alright with splitting the characters, I'll tell you who I've currently got ripped and I'm working on fixing them:

Young Ruto, Young Link, Ganondorf and his horse, the Great Fairy, the King of the Zoras, Sheik, the normal goron, and the Stalfos from the forest temple.

I'd like to get Nabooru, Impa, and Rauru just to finish off getting the sages.

Edit:

Hey Alec here's Ganondorf on his horse I got all his textures assigned and the mesh pieces with them combined properly last night. You said you'd be glad to help me combine textures and to be honest him and Young Link both have a ton of textures and if you have a simple fast method it would save me tons of time, otherwise if your method still takes lots of effort on your part I could just do them myself.

Here's the link to Ganondorf, Ruto and Young Link are in the post before this: http://www.mediafire.com/file/z4s0ncyish...nished.zip
