Pretty much, the Metal Slug 3 one doesn't explode like the one on 6 but generally has a few more sprites.


As for the projects progress a few more recolours have been done (Mini-UFO and Red Brain Bot), the Camel Slug (which I believe has already been done), the Miner guy, the fat zombie, the zombie lightning and the rebel zombie.

Will attempt to get them up when my internet stops being so randomly ass.

There's quite a bit of stuff at http://www.spriters-resource.com/communi...ght=Goemar (aka my submissions thread) which I don't think has been put up yet, I'll be sure to update it from now on.

Working on the basic Rebel soldier, and doing the Iron Nokana.

There's sprites of the Rebel throwing the same type of grenade as the player, which isn't in game - so not sure what pallete the grenade itself uses.
Mainly searching through the games to find all the correct palletes (because of annoying things like going brownish when they get flamed without being engulfed in flame).

Apparently the rebel with the axe is in Metal Slug 1, as is the rebel hanging and throwing grenades behind him. Sadly my ROM seems to have corrupted itself so on the search for that.
There's an absolute arse load of sprites so will be posting them and asking what some are no doubt...

Hey man thanks for the shout out on the old update, much appreciated.

Here's what I'm working on at the moment...

Slug-Copter

You'd think SNK would have made the propeller a separate sprite but NOOOO. Meaning it has a crap load of sprites as it has two moving forward angles, two moving back, two moving up, two moving down. With every position of the helicopter's blade. And Then there's moving back and up etc. etc.

Damn it's a big sheet, pretty easy to rip though.

And hey RTB if your reading this: How long did that full Tarma rip take? Gearing up to start Marco soon(ish) and want to know how much time I need to set aside (I have an addictive personality).

Oh, hey Goemar? You looking for a place to find the names of stuff in Metal Slug?
I know where to find it! Type in "Metal Slug Database" in Google, click on the first site that comes up, click on the word "English", then click on the button that says "Information" on the right, and presto! Lists of everything in the games and all their names and do-dahs and stuff.

(BTW: the Tall-Tank? It's actually called the "NOP-3 Sarubia" Wink)

Well it hasn't got all the names, nor does it state where the names come from.
I think it was ViperShark who gave the first heads up about the Info section, but thanks anyway.

And I'll get onto to changing the tank's name - thanks dude!

The Rebel sprites so far. I still need the Axe guy (who is pretty much done but not on that sheet yet) and the people who jump all over the Slug. Not sure what other sprites there are (minus the 'in windows' etc. sprites and giant flying towards the screen ones). Oh and dude pushing a snow-ball. So if there's a death animation or something I haven't got let me know!!!
Obviously I haven't got the enemy's grenades yet.

The inner-tube guy, bazooka dude, person who pops out of a tank and tries rather pathetically to shoot you , rifle-men along with anyone bike related rebel will be on a different sheet.

This is just for the standard guys. The dropping mine pallete is also wrong, but I am badly failing at finding them use it in game, although I KNOW I've seen it a hundred times before.


EDIT: Hmm in the Metal Slug 1 tiles there's a rebel on the Turret, can't remember seeing that in-game...
There's also tiles for a Rebel sticking his tongue out and doing some other face thing, can't see how they build up though and they also don't appear to be in game...

Has a shooting at a different angle sprites which don't appear to be in game, so taking a while to get those sorted out.

Metal Slug MIA (which deals with unused sprites) doesn't seem to have it listed so I have no idea what pallete it's meant to be. Unless of course it is in game somewhere.

Pretty damn ill so progress is slow at the moment. Hoping to get the Sphere UFO's attack sprites and the Mothership sprites done pretty soon to finish off the Mars Army. I guess there's that stupid 10 Commandments beacon to get done as well...


Oh and someone add ye Metal Slug Sprite Database to the affiliates (see button in sig). I keep meaning to ask Dazz on MSN but then get distracted talking about other random crap.

Another submission. Even though this Jewish guy is in 2 and X his tiles are still in 3 so - yeah.

He also has walking animation, which isn't in game - thus making it awesome!

Progress has slowed down a bit as I'm ripping the excitement that is items.
