Metal Slug 3 - Goemar - 07-21-2008

Yeah I'm trying something very stupid. A COMPLETE rip of Metal Slug 3.

Depending how things go I'll either get everything that first appeared in this game (including main character animations like being burnt by snail sick etc.) or get absolutely everything.

This is a private project. BUT the sprites are so well done it can be hard to tell where one animation begins and another ends, so any help on pointing such a thing out will be greatly appreciated Of course if you think I've missed something or made a mistake, let me know!

Anyway, I'm nearly finished the Piranha and found the little dude on the right.

I sure as hell can't remember him being in the game and I've played it enough times. I've checked guides and faqs etc. and they don't mention the little fella so I was wondering if anyone here knows if he's in the game?

Edit: Ah it jumps up when you fall into water. Something I've never done.

Well the Piranha is fully done. Onto the Giant red crab (which is orange).

Just a shame 7 is worse than 6...
Oh well, Both giant crabs should be done soon and then I think I'll get all the playable character's sprites which aren't found in 5. Metal Slug 5 has a sprite viewer built into the game so I'll be getting the rest of the playable character sprites from that.

Are the Zombie characters only in 3? I'm pretty sure they're not in 5.

You shouldn't have to worry about Tarma's sprites if you're going to get the sprites of the playable characters. I already have EVERYTHING from Metal Slug 1-5 for my Tarma sheet.

And if I can recall correctly, the Zombie (and Snowman) forms are only in Metal Slug 3. They're not in 5 at all -- only the Fat form.

It's been a while but the Yeti is up (with a few things missing) and the plant is on it's way. Although SDB has the plant it's a poorly done sheet with sprites overlapping - Metal Slug is not a game which can be captured, it has to be ripped.

Mutant Plant is up and complete! My favourite enemy, the Snail, is coming up.
