He just converted a bunch of models at once with I'm guessing Noesis. It could work with a lot of other games, but it can lead to a lack of polish on certain things like things that would have been corrected otherwise such as wrong texture assignments or whatever.

Its helpful to be able to do I suppose, but personally I prefer to rip things one at a time and make sure I have them done to the best of my ability.
