Our cousin and Jorge (Halo Reach)

Those huge bars coming out of his jaw going straight into his shoulders, is tht supposed to be his neck? It looks out of place. I know it's supposed to be stylized, bit it's much to angular to fit witht he rest of the picture.

his neck and shoulders should also have more shine on them to even out the piece

knowing his workflow, he hasn't shaded these yet. the only stuff in that image thats close to be complete are the face features.

That's a relief c:

and I think those bars are supposed to be those hard stuff we have on the neck. But I think it needs to be less angular, as Wes said.

I'll see in due time about the neck, the shine I'll leave only for the face (for now).
And here's another WIP, Jorge from Halo Reach:

Although that is really cool
He looks really stiff, like there isn't a body underneath. Just a conglomerate of...parts.

I think this may be due to my work pattern, i work in parts, but I'll see if I can fix this by adding a gap between the arm on left and torso and starting on the legs.
Ha, yeah he does actually, Metaru! Must be the yellow chestplate.

I'm not to sure I like that neck, I mean the muscles are all distorted in it, I'm not really sure sterno-cleano-mastoids(spelling here is probabbly 100% wrong) even work that way. Still stylish as hell and the colors are rather attractive, can't wait to see it done.
