It's the magic circle I was thinking of. Youmu's is 256x256, and Meiling's is 512x512 (so it looks a bit cleaner than Youmu's). The other effects seem to be the opposite -- Youmu's is normal, and Meiling's is double-sized.
Myth busted.
(EDIT: Actually, comparing the effects, it seems like it's a little bit resized for Youmu, but it looks less pixelated to Meiling's. Probably because it's not 200% resized, but 150%.)
