Also, will this have an overworld? I find trudging long distances in a platformer to be tiresome, which is why I never played through Simon's quest. It also makes alternate routes annoying because you know it'll be hard to backtrack to see the other stuff.

It's supposed to be loosely based on Zelda 1's overworld where you have to run around and search for dungeons, but it'll still have lots of areas above and below like a top-down game so there would be a lot of different paths and shortcuts to help you get around the world, instead of just going in one direction with a few splits.

Please tell me that Zelda riding Epona means she's playable.

I actually planned to have Marth from Fire Emblem to be the secret character you can unlock.
But now I guess we have two!
